Raymond Frey, 81

 

Raymond E. Frey, 81, educator and administrator, died Nov. 17 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

The funeral was Nov. 20 at Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel.

He was buried at Tabor Mennonite Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 23, 1926, to Edward and Augusta (Neufeld) Frey. On May 19, 1949, he was married to LuEtta June Schmidt, who survives in Goessel.

He is also survived by a son, Sherwin Frey and his wife, Debra Fischer of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Marcene and Thurman Entz of rural Newton, and Melissa and Jim Beitler of Berne, Ind.; a brother, Marlin Frey of Newton; two sisters, Earla Critchfield of Hesston, and Nila Chambers of Wichita; a step-mother, Adelia Frey of Newton; and five grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with Mennonite Central Committee in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.

Gilbert Kriegsman, 82

 

Gilbert L. Kriegsman, 82, former AMPI employee in Hills?boro, died Nov. 18 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

The funeral was Nov. 20 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hills?boro. He was buried at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 8, 1925, to Walter and Mary Brewer Patter?son in Elmo. On Jan. 17, 1963, he was married to Dora Angle, who survives in Hillsboro.

He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law.

John Mellott, 91

 

John Mellott, 91, of Peabody, a lifelong farmer, died Nov. 13.

The funeral was Nov. 17 at Peabody Christian Church. He was buried at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

He was born Feb. 12, 1916, to James and Lula (Taylor) Mellott in Peabody. On April 7, 1937, he was married to Elda Schmidt, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Richard and Vickie Mellott of Peabody; two daughters, Joan and Jerry Jost of Hillsboro, and Esther and Jon Brooks of Pea?body; a sister, Doris and Bob Hansen of Newton; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with Peabody Christian Church.

 

Dwayne Reusser, 72

 

Dwayne Reusser, 72, an insurance claims adjuster, died Nov. 14 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.

The funeral was Nov. 17 at First Mennonite Church in Hills?boro. He was buried at Haven Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

He was born April 14, 1935, to Jennings and Elma Klassen Reusser in Wichita. On June 30, 1958, he was married to Shirley Hiebert, who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Layne and Nancy Reusser and Ty and Terra Reusser, all of Wichita; a daughter, Diedre and Bruce Serene of Hillsboro; a brother and five sisters; and 12 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established with First Mennonite Church, Hos?pice Care of Kansas, and Hills?boro Community Medical Center.
