Ruth Davis, 95

 

Ruth E. Davis 95, formerly of Florence, died July 23 at Legacy Park Care Home in Peabody.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning, July 29, at Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery of Florence.

She was born Oct. 8, 1912, to Luther M. and Susan (Kennard) Brooks in rural Florence. In 1932, she was married to Elmer Davis, who predeceased her in 1987.

Survivors include her daughter, Naomi Brenzikokerfer, and two grandchildren, Wanda Mayers and Debra Hanson, all of Emporia.

 

Robert Haug, 53

 

Robert ?Bob? Louis Haug, 53, of Jetmore, Jetmore High School employee in such areas as teacher, coach, athletic director and principal, died July 12 in Wichita.

The funeral service was July 17 at Jetmore High School, with pastors Jason Mohn and Marvin Ewertt officiating. Burial was at Fairmount Cemetery in Jetmore.

He was born Nov. 27, 1954, to Russell and Fern Haug in Denver, Colo. On July 12, 1980, he was married to Karen Mohn, who survives.

He is also survived by sons Russell and Kara Haug, and Ryan and Risa Haug; a daughter, Tiffany Haug; four siblings, Dale and Valda Haug, Alice and Bill Weigle, Butch and Rondy Haug, and Wilma and Terry Pfannenstiel; father- and mother- in-law Oliver and Marcella Mohn; brothers and sisters-in-law Gordon and Vicky Mohn, and Jeryl and Vicki Mohn, and respective families; and a grandchild due in September.

A memorial fund has been established through Jetmore High School, in honor of Haug?s years of service.
