Tarrie Haworth, 53
Tarrie Ranae Haworth, 53, formerly of Canton, died Aug. 1 at her Platte City, Mo., residence.
The funeral was Aug. 4 at First Baptist Church in Canton. Burial was at the Canton Township Cemetery.
She was born April 12, 1955, to Lloyd E. and Jacolin L. (Dillon) Haworth in Wellington.
She is survived by a son, Christian D. and Molly Tanner of Dearborn, Mo.; her parents of Canton; a brother, William Haworth of Ottawa; a sister, Georgia Lee Haworth of Wichita; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Canton Emergency Medical Services and the Lawson (Mo.) Fire Department, in care of Olson?s Mortuary, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428.
Alma Pfautz, 78
Alma L. Pfautz, 78, registered nurse, died Aug. 1 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
The funeral was Aug. 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Canton. Burial was at the Hesston City Cemetery.
She was born April 7, 1930, to Rudolph J. and Mary Catherine (Meier) Fritsch in Durham. On Aug. 9, 1952, she was married to Henry E. Pfautz, who predeceased her.
She is survived by two sons, Keith and Judy Pfautz of Hesston, and Kent and Michelle Pfautz of Hesston; a daughter, Karen Travis of Wichita; a brother, Harold Fritsch of Wichita; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established with the Hesston Public Library in care of Miller Funeral Home.
Bertha Schroeder, 94
Bertha Frey Schroeder, 94, homemaker, died Aug. 2 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel. Burial will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 5 at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
She was born Dec. 18, 1913, to Henry and Eva Balzer Frey in Goessel. She was married to John Schroeder, who predeceased her in 2002.
She is survived by two sons, Donald J. Schroeder of rural Moundridge, and Robert J. Schroeder of Manhattan; a daughter, Carolyn Wedel of rural Canton; sister-in-law Adelia Frey of Newton; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established with the special care unit at Bethesda Home, in care of the funeral home, 303 E. Main, Goessel, KS 67053.
Gregory Soukup, 60
Gregory G. Soukup, 60, former material handler for Eaton Corp., died Aug. 1 at the Reno County Hospice House.
Parish rosary was Aug. 4 at St. Teresa?s Catholic Church in Hutchinson, with funeral mass following. Burial was at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
He was born Aug. 24, 1947, to Frank C. and Jeanetta M. Tajchman Soukup in Hillsboro.
He is survived by a brother, Terry and Luanne Soukup of Goessel; a sister, Virginia and Alan Bentz of Tampa; nieces and nephews; and honorary grandparents, Otto and Frieda Bentz of Tampa.
A memorial has been established with St. Teresa?s Catholic Church.
