Danny Ellis

Danny L. Ellis, 43, truck driver, died April 8 in Florence.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Florence United Methodist Church with Beth Ann Black officiating. Burial is at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.

He was born Sept. 21, 1963, to Leonard and Sharon (Welch) Ellis in Liberal.

He is survived by his father, Leonard of Florence; and two sisters, Brenda and Scott Corbin of Augusta and Cindy of Austin, Texas.

A memorial has been established with the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

Maxine Love

Maxine Love, 63, died April 3 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

The funeral mass was held April 4 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Holy Family Parish in Pilsen with Father Hien Nguyen officiating. Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 21, 1944, to Charles and Dorotha (Schaffer) Cook in Howard. On Jan. 11, 1963, she was married to Benjamin Love, who died in 1982.

She is survived by six sons, John, Ed and Burt, all of Burdick, Pat of Lost Springs, Dan of Lincolnville and Phil of Hutchinson; a daughter, Becky Alvarez of Lincolnville; a sister, Betty Webster of Rock; and 14 grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

Florentina Meyer

Florentina Marie Meyer, 96, retired registered nurse, died April 8 at Salem Nursing Home in Hillsboro.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Tampa with Clark M. Davis officiating. Burial will be at St. John?s Lutheran Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 19, 1911, to David and Louise Rathke in Olpe. On Feb. 23, 1947, she was married to Martin Meyer, who died in 2004.

She is survived by a son, Glenn of Union City, Calif.; and a brother, Walter Rathke of Wichita.

Memorials have been established with St. John?s Lutheran Church and Salem Nursing Home.

Esther Ratzlaff

Esther Mae (Schroeder) Ratzlaff, 86, died April 6 at Memorial Home in Moundridge.

The service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in rural Goessel with Lee Suderman, Linda Ewert and Susan Wheeler officiating. Burial is at Alexanderwohl Church Cemetery.

She was born May 3, 1920, to Jacob H. and Susie (Janzen) Schroeder in Goessel. On Oct. 18, 1941, she was married to Isaac Ratzlaff, who died in 2001.

She is survived by a son, Roger and Leslie of Hesston; two daughters, LaDean Morley of Spokane, Wash., and Jerilyn Call of Silver Lake; a brother, Alden and Irma Schroeder of Goessel; a sister, Evelyn and Richard Banman of Hillsboro; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Schroeder; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Memorial Home of Moundridge in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
