? RAYMOND MARTINEZ, 74, of Marion, died Sept. 9 from injuries he received in a vehicle accident.

Services are pending with Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion.

? MARILYN L MONTGOMERY, 83, of Lincolnville, a long-time clerk at Centre School District, died Sept. 11 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

The service was Sept. 16 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Lincolnville.

She was born Oct. 14, 1930, to Chris and Emma (Herbel) Deines at Lost Springs. On June 27, 1953, she was married to Merrill ?Monty? Montgomery, who predeceased her in 1976.

Survivors include children Theresa Montgomery of Mesa, Ariz., Barry and wife Jennifer Montgomery of Lincolnville and Larry and wife Kelly Montgomery of Lindsborg; siblings Leon and wife Darlene Deines of Goddard, Calvin and wife Barbara Deines of Lake Park, Fla., Irmagene Goodman of Marion; and Don and wife Luz Deines of Hawthorne, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to St. John?s Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.

? GERTRUDE W. RAY, 91, of Marion, a retired school teacher and rancher?s wife, died Sept. 12 at St. Luke?s Living Center, Marion.

Services were Monday, Sept. 15 at Valley United Methodist Church, 300 Santa Fe St., Marion. Burial was at Piedmont Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 25, 1923, to Harold and Imogene Powers at Piedmont. On Aug. 7, 1944, she was married to E.J. ?Bob? Ray, who predeceased her.

Survivors include daughters Vicki Jackson and Cheryl Ray, both of Marion; brothers Cecil Powers of Andover and Harold ?Sonny? Powers of El Dorado; step-sister Gladys Samuels of El Dorado; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Marion City Library and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.

? ESTHER J STUCKY, 87, a resident of Peabody and Burns and a homemaker, died Sept. 15 at Elm Haven East in Parsons.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Burns Countryside Church, 204 Yarrow, Burns.

Burial will be at Burns Countryside Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Gracepoint Church, 802 Vine, Peabody.

She was born July 17, 1927, to Harry and Olga (Zieh) Hess near Peabody. On Aug. 5, 1945, she was married to David Stucky, who predeceased her.

Survivors include daughters Judy and husband Hal Redford of Parsons, Cathy and husband Roger Chambers of Lamar, Mo., Susan and husband Chuck Good of Peabody; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother John Hess of Kechi and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
