Wanda E. Dale

98, of Marion, co-owner of Dale Drug Store in Florence, died Sept. 4, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. A private burial is planned in Hillcrest Cemetery of Florence.

She was born June 23, 1911, to Arthur and Josephine (Shirley) Hardin in Moberly, Mo. On Jan. 17, 1946, she was married to Richard E. "Rich'' Dale, who predeceased her in 1988.

Survivors include daughter Shirley Jo and Rocky Hett of Marion; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Florence Historical Society and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861.

 

Marga H. Ebel

89, died Monday, Aug. 31, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, with pastor Brett Huebner.

Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Nelson P. Funk

75, a farmer and carpenter, died Aug. 25 at Salem Home of Hillsboro.

Services were held Aug. 29 at Trinity Mennonite Church of Hillsboro with pastor Jeff Wintermote officiating.

Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

He was born Sept. 13, 1933, to Arthur and Katherine (Pankratz) Funk in Hillsboro. On Dec. 28, 1959, he was married to Mary Jane Unruh, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Denise and Jim White Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers Kenneth Funk and Linferd Funk, both of Hillsboro, Norman Funk and Jim Funk, both of Marion; sister Edith Unruh and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Mennonite Church or Alzheimer?s Association and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro, KS 67063.

Thomas Tantillo Jr.

71, died Sept. 3 at Newton Medical Center, Newton.

No service is scheduled.

Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861, is handling arrangements.

 

Ruby B. Vinduska

91, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen. Rosary is at 7 p.m. and visitation at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. Burial will be at Pilsen Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 8, 1917, to Frank and Bertha (Bouchek) Prochaska in Glasco. On Oct. 15, 1946, she was married to Louis P. Vinduska, who predeceased her in 2003.

Survivors include sons Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion and Ron and Tammy Vinduska of Topeka; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
