Deaths (Sept. 18, 2013)

? Jaime L. (Bredemeier) Bryant, 31, died Sept. 7 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

The service was Sept. 13 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Marion.

Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 11, 1982, to Michael and Lynne (Kornelsen) Bredemeier in Escondido, Calif. On May 29, 2011, she was married to Blake Bryant, who survives.

Other survivors include her parents of Marion; siblings Jeff Bredemeier of Marion, John Bredemeier of Murrieta, Calif., Joshua Bredemeier of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Janessa and Nick Reyes of Flagstaff, N. M.; parents-in-law Garry and Michele Bryant of Daingerfield, Texas; grandparents Dick and Evelyn Bredemeier of Marion and Kenneth Kornelsen of Vista, Calif., and one niece.

? Ddna ?Jane? Nickel, 97, died Aug. 16 in Hillsboro.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Mennonite Brethren Church, 415 N. West St., Buhler.

She was born July 31, 1916, to Abe and Ida Gaede Balzer near Whitewater. On Sept. 6, 1936, she was married to Henry P. Nickel, who predeceased her Jan. 18, 1995.

Survivors include son David and Mary of Oakhurst, Calif., daughters Jeanette and Clarence Funk of Fresno, Calif., Myrna Kliewer of Hillsboro and Sylvia and Rick Allen of Crest Hill, Ill.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian School in Hutchinson or Sunshine Meadows Retirement Center and sent in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N. Main, Buhler, KS 67522.

? LAWRENCE J. SVO?BODA, 79, a retired farmer from Lincolnville, died Sept. 9 at Wichita.

The funeral Mass was at Sept. 16 at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.

He was born Sept. 7, 1934, to Frank and Christine (Rez?nicek) Svoboda at Lincoln?ville. On May 12, 1962, he was married to Delores Lambert, who survives.

He also is survived by two sons, A.J. and wife Sandra of Ramona, and Patrick of Burrton; a daughter, Elaine and husband Michal Kick?haefer of Herington; a brother, John and wife Mary of Junction City; a sister, JoAnn and husband Joe Nowak of Pilsen, and seven grandchildren.
