• larry lee bergman, 75, of Tampa, died Sept. 30 at Hillsboro Community Hos­pital.

The service is Saturday, Oct. 8, at First Baptist Church, Durham, with pastor Brad Penn officiating. Visitation with family is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Jost Fu­ner­al Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro.

He was born June 21, 1941, to Alvin and Elrena (Redger) Bergman in Marion County. His wife, Avis Berg­man of rural Tampa, survives.

He also is survived by daughters Connie and husband Roger Larmer of Abilene, Delyn and husband Troy Harris of Springfield, Mo.; stepsons Marty and wife Jennifer Rader of Hills­boro and Bradley and Kayla Rader of Hillsboro; brothers Verlyn and Flora Bergman of Salina, Jerry and Sally Bergman of Wichita; sister June Camp­bell of Goessel; five step-grandchildren and five grand­­children.

Memorials may be made to the Larry Bergman Memorial Fund and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 266, Hillsboro, KS 67063.

• darla a. gore, 52, of Marion, died Oct. 2 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

The service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at Marion Christian Church with pastor Carl Helm officiating. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

She was born May 6, 1964, to Garry Vogel and Georgie Helmer Vogel at Marion. On April 14, 1984, she married Jeff Gore, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Darla Jo Gore and fiancé Jared Craighead of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Jamie McDonald and husband James of Wichita; father Garry Vogel and wife Marcia of Marion; one niece two nephews; stepsister Gail Boaldin and husband Rick of Marion; stepbrother Ryan Walker and wife Darci of McPherson; brothers-in-law George Gore and wife Sonya of Durham and Glen Eickel­berry and wife Shannon of Palco and their families.

A memorial fund has been established for the Quail Forever Youth Day and memorials may be sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.

• E. Martin Rhodes, 81, died Sept. 27, at Salem Home, Hillsboro.

The service was at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Brian Allen officiating. A private family burial was planned.

Family received guests from 6:30-8 p.m. Sept. 27 at Hillsboro MB Church. He was born July 18, 1935, to George and Ruth (Boyd­ston) Rhodes at Lindsay, Okla. On May 29, 1955, he was married to Fran Mc­Kin­zie, who survives.

He also is survived by daughters Sherrie and husband Ruben Lovato of Amarillo, Texas; Donna and husband Kirby Fadenrecht of Hillsboro and Janet and husband Ted Jones of Hous­ton, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great- grand­chil­dren.
