Stanley Eugene Eitzen, 75

of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, in rural Peabody.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 5, at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Hillsboro.

Baker Funeral Home, 114 N. Sycamore St., Peabody, was in charge of arrangements.

 

Luella J. Ferguson-Harp, 85

of Marion, died Saturday, Oct. 3, at the St. Luke's Living Center in Marion.

Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 N. Sycamore St., Peabody.

Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, was in charge of arrangements.

 

Dean Allen Jones, 57

of Hillsboro, died Sept. 27.

Services were held Oct. 1, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Roy Keller officiating.

Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, was in charge of arrangements.

 

Alice M. Winter, 86

of Hillsboro, homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 2, at Salem Home.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Zion Lutheran Church, 106 N. Lincoln, Hillsboro, with pastor Brett Huebner officiating.

Burial was at Durham Park Cemetery in Durham.

She was born Dec. 25, 1922, to Heinrich (H.F.K.) and Mathilda (Tillie Bielefeld) Mueller on a farmstead north of Tampa. On Dec. 25, 1945, she was married to Edwin Winter, who survives.

Other survivors include children Larry and Bonnie Winter of Silver Lake; Wayne and Kim Winter of Salina; Wanda and Keith Unruh of Assaria; grandchildren: Patrick and Tanya Winter of Goddard; Ginger and Matt Robert of Lebo; April Winter of Topeka; Shawn and Karly Winter of Hillsboro; Mandi and Mike Garrison of Kingman; Jennifer and John Bauers of McPherson; Janelle Unruh of Overland Park; step-grandchildren Courtney and Jessica Sturgeon of Salina; great-grandchildren Madison Winter, Parker Winter, Carter Robert, Tyler Garrison, Brianne Garrison, Brittany Bauers and Joshua Bauers.

Surviving siblings and in-laws are Edna (Arnold) Mueller of Tampa; Maxine (Werner) Mueller of Salem Home in Hillsboro; Phyllis (Lloyd) Mueller of Tampa; Agnes (Wilbur) Steinert of Hutchinson; Arthur and Betty Mueller of Tampa; Paula and Warren Fike of Ramona; Lawrence and Ruth Mueller of Iola; Doris and Richard Ott of Golden, Mo.; brother-in-law Eldon Weber of Herington and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was baptized Jan. 14, 1923 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in North Tampa and confirmed there June 7, 1936.

In 1940, she graduated from Tampa High School.

She taught Sunday School and Bible School at Trinity Lutheran Church in Durham and was a member of LWML.

After retirement in 1996, the couple moved to Hillsboro and transferred their church membership to Zion Lutheran Church.
