• margaret l. buttram, 53,

former employee of French’s, died Oct. 2 at her home in Marshfield, Mo.

Services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 in Marshfield.

She was born Oct. 30, 1958, to Jackson and Alene Letterman.

Survivors include son Corey Buttram; daughter Rachel and Darrin Dvorak of Marion; three grandchildren and many other relatives.

• John d. “dan” ellis, 65,

a cook, died Oct. 9 at Peabody Care Center.

A graveside service was at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence with pastor Larry Timm officiating.

He was born April 28, 1947, to Theodore and Lillian Maltbie Ellis in San Antonio, Texas.

Survivors include son T.J. Ellis of Marion; brother Jim of Pensacola, Fla., and sisters Lois Reeder of San Antonio and Sue Hansen of Medicine Lodge.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Heartland Hospice and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861.

• delors laMAR MORGAN, 87,

a retired secretary and court reporter at Schilling Air Force Base in Salina and Offutt AFB in Bellevue, Neb. , died Oct. 6 at the Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Mo.

Services were Oct. 12, at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.

Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery,

She was born Nov. 9, 1924, to Albin and Minnie (Webster) Swalander in Gypsum.

Survivors include cousin and caregiver Lorraine and Alan Miller of Warrensburg; niece Carolyn and Rick Smith of Scottsdale, Ariz., and many cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Nebraska Humane Society and sent in care of Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428.

• esther peters unruh, 88,

homemaker and retired employee of United Printing and Office Supply, died Oct. 14 in North Newton.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 17 at Bethel College Mennonite Church, 2600 College Ave., North Newton.

She was born in Henderson, Neb. On Nov. 28, 1947, she was married to Allen Unruh, who predeceased her.

Survivors include children Yvonne Coulter of Wichita, Charlotte and Bruce Kreider of North Newton, Douglas and Beth Unruh of rural Walton and Suone and Tim Graber of rural Moundridge; seven grandchildren; brother-in-law Albert D. Friesen of Henderson and sister-in-law Eunice and Willis Esau of Hutchinson.
