? Eldena m. helmer, 91,

of Marion, died Oct. 3 at St Luke Living Center in Marion.

A memorial service was Oct. 10 at Marion Christian Church. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 27, 1918, to William and Anna (Black) Schlotthauer near Marion. On Dec. 7, 1938, she was married to David Helmer, who predeceased her.

Survivors include sons Darrel and Paula Helmer of North Fork, Calif., Gary and Beverly Helmer and Laddie and Luci Helmer, all of Marion; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Marion Christian Church and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.

? Dorothy A. Johnson, 93,

retired hairdresser, died Sunday, Oct. 10.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at Gracepoint Church, 802 N. Vine, Peabody. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 Seneca, Wichita.

Survivors include son Kenneth Johnson of Peabody; brothers John Johnson of Kechi and Raymond Johnson of Monett, Mo.; sister Esther Stucky of Peabody; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

? Charlene A. Svitak, 79,

a homemaker of Pilsen, died Oct. 8, at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Services were Oct. 12 at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church, Pilsen. Burial was at Pilsen Cemetery.

She was born May 6, 1931, to Rudy and Lillian (Svoboda) Krch near Pilsen. On Oct. 10, 1950, she was married to George Svitak, who survives.

Other survivors include sons Doug and Tammy Svitak of Lincolnville and Randy and Kathy Svitak of Pilsen; sisters Genevieve Pletcher of Rosalia and Claudine Krch of Lincolnville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

of Marion, died Oct. 3.

Services were Oct. 7 at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen.

Survivors include daughters Diana and Larry Landsverk of Marion, Lisa and Ken Wittrig of Marion and Rebecca and Gene Koester of Peck; sons William and Candy Gfeller Vinduska of Wichita and Marion and Martin Vinduska of Pilsen; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Leona Loney of Lawrence and Vernie Konecny of Pilsen and nieces and nephews.
