? Lila a. hoffman, 91,

retired from the Marion County Treasurer?s office, died Nov. 24 at her home in Marion.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Marion Christian Church, 140 Elm St. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

Visitation with family is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion.

She was born Nov. 20, 1921, to Christian and Mollie Link near Okeene, Okla. On Jan. 20, 1945, she was married to LeRoy Hoffman.

Survivors include daughters Janice Peter and Anita and Martin Hooper, all of Marion; sister Peggy and Don Buethe of Marion; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

? ELDON L. JOST, 87,

retired contractor of Buhler, died Nov. 20 at Buhler Sunshine Home.

The funeral was Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church, with pastors Nick Rempel and Brent Warkentin officiating.

He was born March 6, 1925, to Frank R. and Marie (Loewen) Jost of rural Hillsboro. On July 17, 1947, he was married to Luella L. Schroeder of Buhler, who survives.

He also is survived by two sons, Randy and wife Debbie of Ottawa, and Roger and wife G.B. of Newton; a brother Victor and wife Myrna of Hillsboro; five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials may be sent to Buhler Sunshine Home, Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church or Tabor College in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N. Main, Buhler, KS 67522.

? judith malin, 66,

died Nov. 22 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

A service will be held at a later date.

She was born May 18, 1946, to Arthur W. and Helen Betty (Jost) Malin at Hampton, Iowa. In 2010, son Jesse Malin was deceased.

Survivors include brothers Art and Jackie Malin of Stone Lake, Wis., and Gordon and Kate Malin of Marion, Martin and Nancy Malin of Laredo, Texas, and David Malin of Lehigh.

A memorial has been established with First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

retired general surgeon, died Nov. 24 at the Smith County Long Term Care in Smith Center.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Smith Center United Methodist Church, 301 E. Kansas Ave., with pastor Laura Fricker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Smith Center.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 at Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary, Smith Center.

He was born Nov. 6, 1921, to Charles and Bessie (Saul) Sheppard in Tulsa, Okla. On June 28, 1945, he was married to Eda Jean Lippitt, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Debra and Demetre Evangelidis of Smith Center; sons Robert Michael and Margie of Great Bend and David Dean and Marla of Hillsboro; sister Maxie Bowman of Lawrence; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

retired farmer, died Nov. 18 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

A graveside service was Nov. 24 at the Pilsen Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 2, 1917, to Rudolph and Josephine Vinduska Svitak at Pilsen. On June 10, 1940, he was married to Ida Rudolph, who predeceased him May 19, 2009.

Survivors include daughters Judy Ekter of Portland, Ore., and Mary Ann Conyers of Marion; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
