• elsie m. burkholder, 74,

a homemaker, died May 19 at Marion Assisted Living in Marion.

A memorial service was May 23 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, 105 Eastmoor Drive, Marion. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born May 2, 1937, to Lonnie and Irene McKibben Smith in Marion. In 1955, she was married to Donald M. Burkholder, who predeceased her.

Survivors include her mother, Irene Richmond of Marion; children Jerry and Patricia of Topeka, Jackie and Clint Torgerson of Pt. Huron, Mich., and Penny and John Antoszyk of Marion; sister-in-law Phoebe and Bill Holdeman of Marion; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

• timothy warren kliewer, 71,

a retired pastor, of Hillsboro, died May 12 at Marion Reservoir.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

He was born July 16, 1939, to Henry D. and Lois (Wiebe) Kliewer in Bellingham, Wash. On Aug. 11, 1961, he was married to Myrna Nickel, who survives.

Other survivors include son Timothy and Arlene Kliewer of Roseville, Calif.; daughter Lois Jane and Dave Taylor of Los Osos, Calif.; brothers Henry, Jerry and Tony; sisters Marjorie Friesen and Elizabeth Black and two grandsons.

• Luella Mae ruth schlicht, 87,

of Canton, retired nurse’s aide, died May 18 at McPherson Care Center.

Services were May 24 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 703 26th Ave., Canton, with pastor Seth Meyer officiating. Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 22, 1923, to John and Johanna Schroeder Gerken in Fairmont, Okla. On Feb. 6, 1942, she was married to Harold Schlicht, who predeceased her Sept. 15, 1991.

Survivors include son Ron and Karen of Missouri; daughter Ladonna and Don Westbrook of Canton; daughter-in-law Nancy Schlicht of Chandler, Ariz.; brother Elmer and Bernice Gerken of Orange, Calif.; sister-in-laws Juanita Gerken of Perry Okla., Maxine Vogts of Canton, Carol Jean and E.H. Land of Ozark, Mo., and Leota Gerken of Cheney; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

• linda m. voth, 86,

died May 18 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

A memorial service was May 21 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, 1304 Kansas Highway 15, Goessel. Burial was at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery.

She was born March 5, 1925, to Katie (Hildebrand) and David S. Nickel in rural Lehigh. On Sept. 3, 1947, she was married to Marvin R. Voth, who survives.

Other survivors include sons Verney and Janice, James and Gayle and Dwight and Jane Ann, all of Goessel; daughters LaVera and James Parker of Buhler and Connie Stucky of McPherson; siblings Mary Ann Woelk, Norma Duerksen and sister-in-law Phyllis Nickel; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

• katharina ‘katie’ L. viktora, 82,

a homemaker, died May 22, 2011.

Services will be at 10 a.m. May 26 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2801 S. Seneca St., Wichita. Rosary is at 7:30 p.m. May 25, also at the church.

Her husband, Melvin, survives.

Other survivors include son Mike and Monica Viktora; daughters Lorraine P. and Jay Norris, Diane P. and Robert Williams, Martha P. and Gerald Houser; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

employed with Precision Industries, Inc., died May 15 at his home in McPherson.

Services were May 19 at the Canton United Methodist Church, 304 W. Allen, Canton. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery. 139 S Main Street

He was born Feb. 14, 1950, to LaVern and Lucille (Wetschensky) Webster in Azusa, Calif. On June 28, 1978, he was married to Sara Ingrid Olson at Canton, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Kari Lou and Seth Moddelmog of McPherson; sisters Rita Richmond of Inman and Marilyn Woodson of Hutchinson and one granddaughter.

• Beth anne bartel wilson, 51,

died May 15.

Services were May 21 at Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, Colo.

She was the daughter of Lila Bartel and Herbert and Pat Bartel, who survive.

Other survivors include brother Paul and Janet Bartel; two nieces and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
