Roberta Allen

 

Roberta Allen, 75, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 5, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospice (inpatient unit) in Wichita.

A private family service was held. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro.

She was born June 10, 1933, to Harry and Alice (Carson) Meyer in Council Grove. On Sept. 22, 1951, she was married to Daryl Gene Allen, who predeceased her.

Survivors include son Mike Allen of Wichita; daughter Tina and Mark King of Hillsboro; brothers Robert Meyer of El Dorado, Raymon Meyer of Wichita and Ronnie Meyer of Dodge City and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the WFC Jim James Memorial 101 Club and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063.

Bill Meier

 

Bill Meier, 89, a farmer and rancher, died Monday, May 4, in Hillsboro.

Services were held Friday, May 8, at First Baptist Church, 725 N. Abilene, Durham, with pastor Curtis Wiens officiating. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery, one mile east of Hillsboro.

He was born Dec. 20, 1919, to Carl and Martha (Haas) Meier in Okeene, Okla. On March 25, 1944, he was married to Betty Geis, who survives.

Other survivers are daughters Julianne and Oscar Arguello of Costa Rica and Willabeth and Socorro Gonzalez of Newton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Gideons or First Baptist Church of Durham and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro, KS 67063.

Anton Meyer

 

Anton A. ?Tony? Meyer, 97, a retired U.S. Navy commander, died Friday, May 8, at his home in Ramona.

Services were held Tuesday, May 12, at St. John?s Lutheran Church, 425 Main, Tampa, with pastor Clark Davis officiating. Burial will be at Tampa Cemetery.

He was born March 3, 1912, to J.F. and Wilhelmine H. (Brandt) Meyer on the family farm in Ramona.

Survivors include brother George Meyer of Ellinwood; healthcare giver Jessica Gilbert of Ramona; nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the City of Ramona for a memorial bench in his name or the donor?s choice and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449-3038.

Emma Weber

 

Emma Weber, 87, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 9, at her home in Herington.

Services were held Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (Shadybrook) north of Herington with pastor John Riebhoff officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

She was born Dec. 1, 1921, to Jacob H. and Eva Elizabeth (Wasamiller) Winter near Durham. On Aug. 18, 1946, she was married to Eldon G. Weber, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons Marvin and Shari Weber of Vasser; Vernon and Mary Weber of Herington; brother Edwin and Alice Winter of Hillsboro; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
