Deaths (March 8, 2017)

• evelyn may (coray) Jewett, 90, a farm wife, died March 6 at Marion Assisted Living.

The service is at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. Burial will be at Grant Township Cemetery.

She was born March 17, 1926, to Floyd and Hazel Corey at Lost Springs. On June 6, 1942, she was married to Burt Jewett, who predeceased her.

Survivors include daughter Janie Westerman of Newnan, Ga.; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

• monte wayne fisher, 83, a graduate of Peabody High School, died Feb. 27 at his home in Whitewater.

The service was March 6 at the Federated Church at White­water. Burial was at Whitewater Cemetery with military rites.

He was born June 18, 1934, to Lewis and Alice (Kimberlin) Fisher at Colo­rado Springs, Colo. On May 26, 1956, he was married to Carolyn Ann Cave, who survives.

Other survivors include daugh­­ters Deanna and Charles Miller of Valley Center and Deborah and Jerry Buttel of White­water; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

• sharon e. wedel, 76, a homemaker of Canton, died Feb. 28 at McPherson Health and Rehabilitation.

The service was March 4 at Canton United Methodist Church. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 7, 1941, to William and Ruth (Carlson) Perryman, at Bartlesville, Okla. On Nov. 26, 1960, she was married to Gilbert L. “Gib” Wedel, who predeceased her on July 1, 2013.

Survivors include son Skip (Lisa) Wedel of Bixby, Okla.; daughter Tami (Brad) Seifert of Junction City; brothers Frank (Dottie Presciti) Perryman of Venice, Fla., and Paul (Debbie) Perryman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
