? Helen M. Chill

83, of Marion, a bookkeeper, died Feb. 23, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

Services were held Feb. 27, at Marion Christian Church, 140 Elm St. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 29, 1926, to Fred and Lydia (Vogel) Stenzel in rural Marion County. On Aug. 11, 1946, she was married to Raymond Pritz, who predeceased her in 1971. On April 30, 1977, she was married to Harry Chill, who predeceased her in 1982.

She graduated in 1943 from Marion High School and attended business classes at Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

? Virginia Frick

99, of Durham, a homemaker, died Feb. 28, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at First Baptist Church, 725 Abilene Ave., Durham, with pastor Brett Huebner officiating. Burial will be at Durham Park Cemetery in Durham.

She was born Nov. 8, 1910, to Edward and Anna (Wasemiller) Weber in Shattuck, Okla. On May 28, 1932, she was married to Ralph (Pete) Frick, who predeceased her in 1973.

Survivors include daughter Sharon and David Hotchkiss of Murphy, N.C.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Durham and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063-1727.

? Homer E. Stiller

96, formerly of Marion, a retired rural mail carrier, died Feb. 25, at Ashbury Park in Newton.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, 105 Eastmoor Dr., Marion. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

He was born June 30, 1913, to Alferd ?Fred? and Ethel (Pierce) Stiller, in Marion. On June 17, 1934, he was married to Dorothy Magathan, who predeceased him in April 1995. On April 22, 1997, he was married to Hazel (Scrivner) Manring, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Janet Richard Vogel of Clearwater; step-son Bernard and Sandy Manring of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

? La Vera Woodward

85, of Whittier, Calif., died Feb. 25.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 3, in Whittier.

She was married to Jon Woodward and they had two sons, Mike and Tim.

Other survivors include three grandchildren; sisters Elda Ebel of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Myrtle Nesius of Littleton, Colo.; brothers Ray Matz of Hillsboro, LeRoy Matz of Thornton, Colo., and Ron Matz of Lehigh.
