• Billie D. “Bill” Berry, 66, of Florence, a logger and truck driver for ranchers, died of cancer Feb. 25 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Cremation has taken place; a private family service will be at a later date.
He was born Dec. 26, 1950, near Harveyville to Chet and Flora Berry. On March 15, 1970, he was married to Jacque Bean, who survives.
He also is survived by a son, Billie Berry Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; a stepson, Gary Armstrong of Florence; five sisters, Delores (Delbert) Tucker of Admire, LaDonna (Marc) Pierce of Americus; Diane Berry, Linda Berry and Connie (Jim) Gardner, all of Osage City; and two brothers, Robert (Margit) of Admire and Kenny of Osage City.
• Roy funk, 94, of Hillsboro, died March 18 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The service is at 11 a.m. , Saturday, March 25, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel. Burial is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Haven of Rest Cemetery, one mile east of Hillsboro.
He was born Nov. 18, 1922, to Paul and Katharina (Schmidt) Funk at Goessel. On March 12, 1946, he was married to Mary Ann Rempel, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Gerald (Sharon) of Hillsboro, Willard (Mary) of McPherson, Myron (Rochelle) of Wichita, Lyle (Elaine) of Hillsboro; daughter Elaine (Jim) Baker of Hillsboro; sister Lenora Gehring of Moundridge; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

• Geraldine “geri” Grentz, 85, of Marion, a retired assistant school superintendent, died March 17 at her home.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at Aulne United Methodist Church.
She was born July 23, 1931, to Cecil and Lena Bolte Hornbacker at Montezuma. She became a foster daughter to the G.S. Klassens of Hillsboro. In 1950, she was married to Rex Seibel. In 1989, she was married to Gary Grantz, who survives.
Other survivors include stepdaughter Sherif Kempton of Hutchinson; brothers Wayne Hornbaker of Rociada, N.M., and Cecil Hornbaker of Washington, D.C.; four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

• janice e. laubhan, 74, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Hillsboro, was a maintenance supervisor at Oklahoma State University and worked in real estate, died March 13.
A graveside service March 17 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Hillsboro, with pastor John Werner officiating.
She was born May 1, 1942, to Jacob and Clara Laubhan at Hillsboro.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service was held March 18 at Claney Cemetery in rural Marion.
He was born April 1, 1948, to Levern and Martha (Hansen) Ottensmeier at Marion. On May 23, 1970, he was married to Jo Ann Looney, who survives.
He also is survived by children Michael (Leah) Ottensmeier, Tami (Jeff) Williams and Keith (Morgan) Ottensmeier, all of Marion, and sister, Anita (Ottensmeier) Schill of El Dorado.

• elnora d. reiswig siemens, 94, died March 12 at Lexington Park Nursing Home, Topeka.
The service was March 16 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 22, 1923, to Clark and Martha (Schlotthauer) Johnston at Marion. In 1940, she was married to Marion Reiswig, who predeceased her in 1982. She later was married to Arnold Siemens, who also predeceased her.
Survivors include Larry Reiswig and wife Jolene of Topeka; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
