? Dean C. Batt, 87,

a retired attorney, died Feb. 25 in Marion.

A memorial service is delayed until the latter part of March because his daughter and grandchildren are currently in Asia.


? James a. ?jim? druse, 80,

died Feb. 24 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.

A graveside service with military rites will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Grant Township Cemetery, rural Marion.

He was born Oct. 11, 1930, to Charles and Palma (Young) Druse. On Feb. 10, 1952, he was married to Eilene Hansen, who predeceased him.

Survivors include children Cindy Ruthloff of Douglass, James and Norma Druse Jr. of Marion, Janet and Scott Berry of Pretty Prairie and Dennis Druse of El Dorado; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brothers Tom and Claudette Druse of Enid, Okla., Ron and Judy Druse of Topeka and Don and Karen Druse of Marion.

Memorials may be made to the VFW and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861-1523, in charge of arrangements.


? edna ann mcclary, 93,

of Frankfort, a retired nurses aide, died Feb. 24 in Wichita.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 213 East Fifth St., Frankfort, with Father Pat Sullivan officiating. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., both Monday, Feb. 28. Burial will be at St. Wencasiaus near Blue Rapids.

She was born May 3, 1917, to Clarence and Tessie Phelps Vail in Blue Rapids. On Oct. 5, 1935, she was married to George McClary, who predeceased her in 1998.

Survivors include daughters Katheryn and Glen Fox of Frankfort, Veverly Kennedy of Pleasanton, Texas, JoAnn Murk of Topeka, Dorothy and Allen Raub of Dodge City and Billie Goossen of Hillsboro and daughter-in-law Barb McClary of Quilcene, Wash.

Memorials will be designated at a later date.

? Shannon michelle (brill) rziha, 34,

a homemaker, died Feb. 11 from cancer in Tulsa, Okla.

A prayer service and wake were held Feb. 15 at the Church of Madalene Catholic Parish in Tulsa. A funeral mass was Feb. 16, also at the church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa.

She was born May 15, 1976, to Doug and Jean Brill in Oklahoma City, Okla. On July 15, 2000, she was married to Wayne Rziha of Tampa, who survives.

Other survivors include children Cecilia, Anthony and Daniel, all of Tulsa; her mother of Cashion; parents-in-law Gerald and Jeanne Rziha of Tampa and brother Christopher Brill of Cashion.

Memorials may be made to the Shannon Rziha Memorial Fund to assist with her medical bills and the care of her children or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research and sent in care of Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 S. Boulder Ave., Tulsa, Okla. 74119.
