• vera david-beach, 87, of Hillsboro, died June 5 at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.

The service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Dave Plett officiating.

She was born Sept. 12, 1929, to Otto and Miriam (Reuscher) David at rural Tampa. On June 4, 1994, she was married to Raymond Beach, who predeceased her in 2013.

Survivors include brother Fred (Doris) David of Hillsboro; sister Darlene Helberg of Kissimmee, Fla., and nieces and nephews.

• H. Jane Hiebert, 84, a former teacher of Goessel, died June 2 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge.

The service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Goessel Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Goessel Mennonite Cemetery.

Visitation was 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Goessel.

She was born June 10, 1932, to Henry and Agnes Braun Klassen at Wray, Colo. On May 25, 1957, she was married to Donald E. Hiebert, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Keven (Debra) Hiebert of Goessel; two daughters, Natalie Hiebert of Tribune and Marjean (Chad) Deines of WaKeeney; two sisters, Jo Larson of Greeley, Colo., and Katheryn Klassen of Topeka, and one granddaughter.

• joan hope, 90, of Hillsboro, died June 3 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

A celebration of life service is at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 8, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church. The family will receive guests from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

She was born Dec. 31, 1926, to Norman and Lucy Mae (Stubbilefield) Ohlis in LaPorte, Ind. On Sept. 5, 1955, she was married to Morris P. Hope, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Norman P. (Julie) Hope of McPherson; a sister, Betty Shipton of LaPorte; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

• Larry Earl “Farmer” Olsen, 77, U.S. Air Force veteran and farmer of Marion, died May 30 at his home.

The service was June 6 at Aulne Methodist Church, and burial was in Marion Cemetery..

He was born Jan. 3, 1940, to Earl F. and Tena “Lucille” (Rempel) Olsen in Marion. On June 11, 1987, he was married to Deanna (Ballew) Olsen, who survives.

Other survivors include sister Helen Reznicek of Marion, stepchildren Steven (Diane) Challacombe of Manhattan and Lorri (Carey) Jost of Wichita; five step-grandchildren and many cousins.

• Wade smith, 56, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 30, at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

A private family service is planned.

He was born Aug. 29, 1960, to Kenneth and Irene (Harper) Smith at Salina.

Survivors include companion Mary Klenda of Hillsboro; daughter Brianna Smith of Overland Park; five brothers; seven sisters and one grandchild.
