The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at First Baptist Church, 503 SE 110th Ave., Ellinwood, with pastor David Wesner officiating.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kimple, Inc. Funeral Home, 113 N. Main St., Ellinwood.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eden Valley Cemetery, 1801 NW 20th Ave., near Seward in Stafford County.
She was born June 8, 1924, to Roy J. and Ruth Yocum Fertig at Radium. On July 21, 1946, she was married to Devon W. Dewey, who predeceased her July 31, 1999.
Survivors include sons Kenneth Dewey of Seward, Dennis Dewey of Kansas City, Mo., and Marvin Dewey of Sterling; daughter Rita Officer of McDonald; brothers Raymond J. Fertig of Ellinwood and Stanley R. Fertig of Saegertown, Pa.; sisters Lorene Jost and Irene Jost, both of Hillsboro, and Velma Root of Albuquerque, N.M.; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
He was born Aug. 19, 1939, to Emery and Anne Smith at Clifton. On Aug. 10, 1959, he was married to Mary Jane Dallen, who survives.
Other survivors include children Mary Ann McFadden of Peabody, Donata Girard of Newton, David Girard of Topeka and Daven and Jenny Girard of Goessel; his mother of Miltonvale; brothers Kenny Girard and Connie Girard both of Miltonvale; sisters Becky Guy of Clay Center and Bonnie Kohle of Miltonvale; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial to celebrate her life is planned for September in Hillsboro.
She was born Feb. 24, 1921, to Martin and Susie Helmer of Durham. On Jan. 30, 1942, she was married to Elmer Rempel, who predeceased her June 20, 2003.
Survivors include son Courtney and Esther Rempel; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

of Abilene, died June 16 at Sedgwick Health Care Center in Sedgwick.

He was born Oct. 29, 1920, to David and Elizabeth (Reh) Weber. On June 13, 1947, he was married to Dorothy Loewen, who survives.
