• dorothy j. foth, 89, of Hillsboro and a cook at public schools, died July 18 at Halstead.

The service was July 25 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church officiated by pastor Loyal Martin.

Burial will be at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Ceme­tery at Hillsboro.

She was born April 19, 1927, to Peter B. and Mar­ga­ret (Franz) Nickel at Goessel. On Nov. 20, 1945, she was married to Harvey W. Foth at rural Goessel.

Survivors include son Ste­ven Foth of Newton; sister Darlene (Jerry) Redinger of rural Halstead; five grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.

• Betty E. Sechler, 88, a homemaker and seamstress of Pleasant View Home, In­man, and formerly of Can­ton, died July 14 at Hutch­­in­son Regional Medi­cal Center.

The service was July 19 at Canton Christian Church. Burial was at Canton Town­ship Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 17, 1928, to Samuel and Evelyn (Crowner) Potter. On Jan. 13, 1947, she was married to Donald Sechler, who predeceased her April 2, 2011.

Survivors include sons Michael Sechler of Hillsboro and Steve (Melissa) Sechler of McPherson; daughters Sue Foley (Kenneth Wash­ington) of Bel Aire and Jo Ellen Wilson (Bryon Wes­ter­man) of Lyons; sisters Nila Jean Cook and Leone Elkins, both of Horton; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Canton Christian Church and sent in care of Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main St., Canton, KS 67428.

• Larry L. White, 80, a truck driver and U.S. Army veteran, of Fredonia and formerly of Canton, died July 15 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

A memorial service was July 23 at Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main St., Canton.

He was born April 20, 1936, to David Lee and Mabel Frieda (Krieger) White at Goessel. His wife, Velda, survives.

Other survivors include sons Rory White and Perry and Tim White of Roxbury; daughter Lisa White of Burlingame; sister Shirley Ann Garner of Park City; four step-children; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

• jack d. williams, 82, a farmer of Marion, died July 21 at Via Christi–St. Francis in Wichita.

The service was July 26 at Aulne United Methodist Church, Aulne. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 25, 1933, to Irvin and Elsie (Hett) Williams at Marion. On Aug. 2, 1959, he was married to Carolyn “Sue” Hazlip, who predeceased him in 2011.

Survivors include sons Gary (Becky) of Marion, Neil (Jennifer) of Herington, Bruce (Diane) of Marion, and Jim of Marion; sisters Jeanette Clark and Donna Fruechting; 13 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Marion County Relay for Life or the Aulne United Methodist Church and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.
