• rodger l. sidener, 65, a farmer and stockman of Burns, died July 9 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wich­ita.

A memorial graveside service was at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16, at the Won­sevu Cemetery in Burns.

He was born March 7, 1951, to Lee and Evelyn (Kirkpatrick) Sidener at New­ton.

Survivors include his mother of Burns.

• alice r. schmidt, 85, formerly a nurse’s aide and housekeeping, died June 23 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Tabor Mennonite Church, Goessel. Burial is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Tabor Menno­nite Church Ceme­tery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 22, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.

She was born Feb. 20, 1931, to Reinhard and Anna Hiebert Funk at Hillsboro. On May 24, 1957, she was married to Dannie Schmidt, who predeceased her on June 26, 2011.

Survivors include con Dwayne (Fawn) Schmidt, Danbury, Conn,; daughters Cheryl (L.H.) Brunner of Elbing and Lynette (Richard) Johnston of Newton; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to Bethesda Home or Good Shephard Hospice, and sent in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main, Goessel, KS 67053.

• Twilla marie siebert, 60, died July 6 at her home in rural Finney County.

The service was July 11 at United Methodist Church of Garden City.

Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

She was born Oct. 17, 1955, to John F. and LuElla Reimer Jost at Hillsboro. On Sept. 6, 1974, she was married to Charles Siebert, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Amy and Aaron Browning of Deerfield, Heather and Lee Schaefer of Emporia and Christine and Doug Dilling of Garden City; brothers Jerry and Joan Jost and Lowell and Eleanor Jost, all of Hillsboro and five grand­children.
