Ruth Goentzel

 

Ruth M. Goentzel, 93, candler for milk and egg department at Tip Top Dairy, died July 13 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m. at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion with pastor Mike Eurit officiating. Burial will be at Canada Cemetery in rural Canada.

The family received guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Survivors include nieces and caregivers Sharon Bartel of rural Hillsboro and Judy Jantz of Hillsboro and many nephews and other nieces.

Memorials have been established with Salem Home and Eastmoor United Methodist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family via jost@jostfuneralhome.com.

 

John Wiebe

 

John F. Wiebe of Abbotsford, British Columbia, died July 6 at Grace Hospital.

He was born April 25, 1930. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jane Penner.

Survivors include wife Orlet?ta Brandt Heide of Abbotsford; two sons Gerald and Maryann, also of Abbotsford, and Barry of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and a daughter, Cynthia Hernandaz, also of Winnipeg and their families; stepchildren Jerold Heide, Dennis Heide, Corolyn Henderson, Kendall Heide and their families; brothers Peter Wiebe of Glandale, Ariz., and Leonard Wiebe of Winnipeg, and sisters Mary Friesen of Rosenfeld and Linda Wall of Elm Creek.

Memorials may be sent to Mennonite Church Manitoba, in care of Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3P2R7.
