? Kathryn Frances Anderson, 80,

a homemaker and retired nurses aide, of Canton, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Pine Village in Moundridge.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at First Baptist Church, 100 N. Fourth St., Canton. Burial will be at Roxbury Valley View Cemetery in McPherson County.

No public visitation is scheduled.

She was born June 25, 1933, to John G. and Mae Ruth (Siebert) Schafer at McPherson. On Nov. 15, 1954, she was married to J.W. Anderson, who survives.

Other survivors include sons John W. Anderson of Canton and A. Jay Anderson and C. Ray Anderson, both of McPherson; daughters Vickie Culver of McPherson and Kristine Little of Canton; sisters Rosemond Brown of Columbia, Md., and Marjorie Stillings of Paola; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Pine Village, Good Shepherd Hospice or First Baptist Church and sent in care of Olson?s Mortuary, 139 N. Main St., P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428.

? Paul Gaede Jr, 82,

formerly of Peabody, died Jan. 20 at Alameda, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Aulne Methodist Church.

He was born June 9, 1931, to Henry J. and Agnes Elizabeth (Just) Gaede at Felt, Okla. On April 1, 1955, he was married to wife Carmen, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Barbara; sisters Imogene Britton of Waverly and Sharon and Dennis Pickens of Peabody; two grandsons and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

? Larry W. Schmidt, 64, died Jan. 23.

A private memorial service will be held with family.

He was born Dec. 5, 1949, to Andrew and Wilma Schmidt at Goessel.

Survivors include his mother; brother Donovan Schmidt and sister Lucretia and husband Robert Vance, all of Hillsboro and six nieces and nephews.

? Orval Suderman, 88,

died Jan. 25 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Eben?feld Mennonite Breth?ren Church in rural Hillsboro.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro.

He was born Nov. 8, 1925, to Dietrich W. and Justina (Loewen) Suderman at Hillsboro. He was married to Rosella Kasper on Sept. 8, 1961, who survives.

Other survivors include son Dean and wife Amy Suderman of rural Hillsboro; daughters Kay and husband Dale Klassen and Gail and husband Justin Dyck, all of rural Hillsboro; sister Orpha Wilkinson of Mt. Hope and 10 grandchildren.

? George J. Svitak, 83,

a farmer and employee of AGCO in Hesston, died Jan. 25 at the Marion Assisted Living Center.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.

Burial will be at Pilsen Cemetery.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, also at the church.

He was born July 3, 1930, to John and Victoria (Franta) Svitak at Pilsen. On Oct. 10, 1950, he was married to Charlene Krch, who predeceased him.

Survivors include sons Doug and wife Tammy of Lincolnville and Randy and wife Kathy of Pilsen; sister Sylvia Bezdek of Lost Springs; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

? Adolphine Tajchman, 102,

a retired caretaker and housekeeper, formerly of Tampa, died Monday, Jan. 20, at Catholic Care Center in Bel Aire.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, corner of Remington Road and 275th Street, Pilsen.

Rosary and visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m., also at the church.

She was born Nov. 25, 1911, to Adolph and Anna Prucha Tajchman at Tampa.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Father Kapaun Fund and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.

? Fern Vogt Unruh, 99,

died Jan. 26, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 905 East D Street.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

She was born Sept. 23, 1914 to Walter and Iva (Philips) Newton at Cowgill, Mo. On June 30, 1935, she was married to John F. Vogt, who predeceased her in 1973. On March 25, 1990, she was married to Herbert Unruh, who predeceased her in 2004.

Survivors include daughter Joanne and husband Harvey Foyle of Emporia; daughter-in-law Karleen Vogt of Hillsboro; stepson, Jim and Shelly Unruh of Wichita; sister Betty Seibel of Peabody; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
