DEATHFriend? Bernice esther klassen friend, 91, a teacher and missionary, died Feb. 20 at Medicine Lodge.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Grace Community Chapel, 1600 S. Anderson Ave., Newton.

She was born April 20, 1924, to David S. and Anna (Friesen) Klassen at Lehigh. On Sept. 21, 1957, she was married to Don Friend, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Ann and Kelly McNett; brother-in-law Ken Schultz and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

? robert l. ?Bob? Sextro, 76, a retired math teacher at Hillsboro High School, died Feb. 19 at his home in Hillsboro.

Burial is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Marys??ville City Cemetery, Marysville. The service was Feb. 23, at Parkview Men?non?ite Church, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro.

He was born July 30, 1939, to Clemens F. and Carrie M. (Larsen) Sextro at Ma?rys?ville.

Survivors include special family members Jim and Vir?ginia Vanek of Greeley, Colo.; Jimmy Vanek and fianc?e Courtney Johnson of Wichita and Sarah Kromer and husband Ryan of Wi?chi?ta. Memorials may be made to the Robert Sextro Scholarship Fund and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 902 East D, Hillsboro, KS 67063.

? Sarah j. Stika, 84, of Marion, died Feb. 21 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, and the funeral is at 10 a.m., Thurs?day. Both will be at Holy Fam???ily Parish, St. Mark?s Church in Marion.

She was born June 2, 1931, to Martin and Emma (Stroda) Fortmeyer at Mar?ion. On Oct. 17. 1950, she was married to Louis Stika, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Rita Tomlinson and Janet and husband Doug Marler; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to the Marion City Library and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.

? elma warkentin, 96, died Feb. 17 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

The service was Feb. 20 at First Mennonite Church, Hills?boro.

She was born Feb. 4, 1920, to John and Lena (Loewen) Schultz at Lehigh. Her husband, Albert Warkentin, predeceased her in 1995.

Survivors include sons Ron??ald and wife Clarice War?kentin of Hillsboro and Rob?ert and wife Coleen W?a?r???ken?tin of Salina; brothers LeRoy Schultz of Hen?derson, Neb., and John Schultz of Buhler; five grand?children and 11 greatgrandchildren.
