? carol ann anson, 80, retired custodian foreman and cook, died Dec. 3 at Stillwater, Okla.

A graveside service was Dec. 9 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hillsboro.

She was born Oct. 10, 1935, to Jacob and Clara (Haas) Laubhan at Hillsboro. On July 2, 1991, she was married to Herman Anson, who survives.

Other survivors include children Darrell Stewart, LaVona Stewart, Walter and wife Barbara Stewart; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sister Janice Laubhan.

? merle funk, 61, died at his home in Hillsboro.

A time to visit with family is planned from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at First Mennonite Church, 102 S. Ash St., Hillsboro.

He was born Sept. 19, 1954, to Marvin and Elfrieda Funk.

Survivors include sister Deb and husband Mike Donavan of Kinsley and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

? sharon lee griffin, 76, died Dec. 8 at Parkside Homes at Hillsboro.

The graveside service was Dec. 12 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, followed by a memorial service at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, with pastor Morita Truman officiating.

She was born May 13, 1939, to Paul and Mildred Earlene (Smith) Leturgez at Canon City, Colo. On June 3, 1966, she was married to Maurice Neil Griffin, who predeceased her Sept. 11, 1999.

Survivors include daughters Karen and husband Andy Troyer of Hillsboro, Mary?Gardner of Hutchinson; stepchildren Susan and husband Jeremiah Rohr of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ron and wife Suzanne Griffin of Topeka and Doug and wife Niyme of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers Paul and wife Ruth Ann Leturgez and Les and wife Carol Leturgez, all of Price, Utah, and four grandchildren.

? lewis hagen, 86, an electrician of Hillsboro, died Dec. 8 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

The service was Friday, Dec. 11 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

He was born June 5, 1929, to John and Carrie (Wall) Hagen at Hillsboro. On Dec. 20, 1954, he was married to LaVada David, who predeceased him in 2015.

Survivors include son John and wife Marlene Hagen of rural Inman; daughters Coleen and husband Murray Koop and Tammy and Kenny Ollenburger, all of Hillsboro; brother Arlys and wife Carol Hagen of Monument, Colo.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

? darla jean ?Jeanne? hinkle, 75, a registered nurse of McPherson, died Dec. 6 at her home.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Canton Township Cemetery.

No visitation is planned.

She was born Sept. 29, 1940, to Murle and Leta (Mincher) Hinkle at Oklahoma City, Okla.

Survivors include son Danny Dresher of Chicago, Ill.; daughter Tess and husband Wes Freimuth of Eagle River, Alaska; sister Gaye Shattuck of McPherson and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to McPherson County Humane Society and sent in care of Olson?s Mortuary, 139 N. Main St., Canton, KS 67428.

? gerald Houser, 61, of rural Hillsboro, died Dec. 3 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

The service was Dec. 11 at Holy Family Parish, St. Mark Church of Marion.

He was born Jan. 14, 1955, to George and Agnes (Kissinger) Houser at Norman, Okla. On Nov. 13, 1986, he was married to Martha Viktora, who survives.

Other survivors include son Justin Houser of Seattle, Wash.; daughters Cassie Ransom of Wichita and Alecia and husband Dan Comer of Marshfield, Mass.; brothers Grant of Phoenix, Ariz., Gary and Geoffrey, both of Junction City, and three grandchildren.
