• Betty lange fruechting, 80, of Marion, a former special education teacher at Hills­boro Elementary School, died Aug. 6, 2016 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

The service is Aug. 11 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church officiated by pastor Jeff Lee. Burial will be at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 20, 1935, to Menno and Heddie (Wall) Harder at Hillsboro. On May 28, 1955, she was married to Paul Lange, who predeceased her in 1997. On March 8, 1999, she was married to Don Fruechting, who survives.

Other survivors include son Byron (Luralee) Lange of Shawnee; daughter Wen­dy (Byron) McCarty of Hills­boro; sons Terry (Lynne) Fruechting of Newton, Kevin (Lori) Fruechting of Marion, Mike (Nancy) Fruechting of Andover; 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; brother Keith (Judy) Harder of Hillsboro and sister Bonnie (Andy) Friesen of Wichita.

• juanita m. harrison, 54, a homemaker, died Aug. 7 at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

The service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Parkview Mennonite Breth­ren Church with pastor Steve Schroeder officiating.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Wash­ington, Hillsboro. Burial is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

She was born Aug. 11, 1961, to Orley and Karen (Garrison) Friesen at Dallas, Ore. On April 4, 1987, she was married to Louis Harrison, who survives.

Other survivors include father Orley Friesen of Oregon; brother Jon Friesen of Herington and sister Kim Simms of Oregon.

• mary seibel, 95, a homemaker of Hillsboro, died Aug. 2 at Hillsboro Community Hos­pital.

The service was Aug. 5 at Parkview Mennonite Breth­ren Church officiated by pastors Roy Keller, Tim Schell­en­berg and Steve Schroeder.

Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery, two miles south of Hillsboro.

She was born Dec. 3, 1920, to Martin and Mary (Loh­renz) Koslowsky in Marion County. Her husband, Clarence, predeceased her in 2004.

Survivors include son Eugene (Sue) Seibel of Beth­alto, Ill.; daughter Eleanor (Lowell) Jost of Hillsboro; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

• bertha g. “bert” zogelman, 84, a farm wife, cook and worker at a greenhouse, of Florence, died Aug. 1 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

All services were at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Florence, with the Rosary Friday and the memorial mass Aug. 6. Burial was at Burns Catholic Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 21, 1931, to Nicholas and Gertrude (Hommertzheim) Schoenecker at St. Leo. On Aug. 23, 1952, she was married to Norbert J. Zogelman, who predeceased her.

Survivors include children Carol Callahan of Burns; Pat Zo­gel­man and wife Mary of Florence; Nick Zogelman and wife Sharon of Florence; and Scott Zo­gelman of Florence; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings Sis­ter Mary Schoenecker of Wichita and Joe Schoe­neck­er and wife Francis of Wichita; and sister-in-law Clara Zogleman. Cremation has taken place.
