Deaths (April 13, 2016)

? beth ellen eldridge, 59, of Peabody, will have a service at 10 a.m. April 14 at Peabody Methodist Church. Visitation is at 7 p.m. April 13 at Gracepoint Church in Peabody.

? Gary norman cole, 75, of Marion, died April 4 at Newton Medical Center.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. April 14 at the Greenwood Cemetery, New?ton. No visitation is planned because of cremation.

He was born Oct. 6, 1940, to Jess A. and Doris Farmer Cole at Lawrence. On May 15, 1968, he was married to Lois Roberta Rodgers, who predeceased him Jan. 14, 2000.

He is survived by daughter Janita Otwell of Enid, Okla.; grandson Damien Sunday and sister Sandra Salsbury of Hillsboro.

Memorials may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society of Newton in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 N. Sycamore. Burial will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery with pastor Angela DeFisher officiating.

Visitation with family present is from 6-8 p.m. April 14 at Baker Funeral Home, 114 Sycamore in Peabody.

? leroy tenBarge, 80, a retired captain with the Newton Fire Department, of rural Walton, died March 4 at his home. No service was announced.

He was born Sept. 10, 1935, to Albert and Rose (Klein) TenBarge in rural Cheney.

Survivors include his wife, Joan (Folsom) Ten?Barge; children and step-children Matthew TenBarge, Rick and Cindy Kleck, Karen and Jack Houseberg, Diane and Joey Char, Cheryl and Lonny Rains and Cindy and Keith Swonger; sisters Marilyn Novak, Janie Cheatum and Betty Jo and Duane Chichester.
