◼ Daryl Fadenrecht, 69, died July 30, 2019 at Medicalodge in Wichita.

A Celebration of Life was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Durham officiated by Pastor Brad Penn.

Interment at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren cemetery at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Memorials to First Baptist Church of Durham in care of Jost Funeral Home P.O. Box 266 Hillsboro, KS 67063.

He was born June 13, 1950, in Salem, Oregon to Rev. Albert and Virginia (Harman) Fadenrecht. He married Marilyn Stagner January 7, 1983, in Wichita. Survivors include wife, Marilyn Fadenrecht of Wichita.

◼ Dorothy Jantz, 99, died Friday, August 2, 2019, at Moundridge Manor.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Eden Mennonite Church in Burns with Minister Roland Koehn presiding.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home at 215 North Main Newton.

Memorials are suggested to Moundridge Manor in care of Petersen Funeral Home.

She was born October 29, 1919, in Halstead, Kansas to Enoch D. and Anna (Smith) Koehn. On April 20, 1941, she married Elmer E. Jantz at Halstead, Kansas.

She is survived by her son Jerald and his wife LaVonne Jantz of Burns; sister Edna Koehn of Newton; seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law Jenette Koehn of Burns and Norma Koehn of Texline, TX and a daughter-in-law Sharon Koehn of DeRidder, Louisiana.

◼ John Eldon Otte, 82, of rural Canton, died July 30, 2019 at his home.

A funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Memorials have been established with the church, or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in care of Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.

He was born June 12, 1937 in Goessel, the son of John and Mathilda (Wilkening) Otte. On December 22, 1961, he married Evi Strickstrock at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton.

Survivors include his wife, Evi; two sons, Ted Otte and Bryan Otte, both of Moundridge; a daughter, Christine (Arne) Reinert, Lindsborg; a brother in law, Robert E. Price, Galva; and three grandchildren.

◼ Misty Dawn Williams, 40, of Lincolnville, KS died on July 25, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life is to be held from 1-4 p.m. on Aug 11 at the Lincolnville Community Center.

She is survived by her parents Sheryl and Benny Key, her brothers Joshua and Thomas Moffett, and her two daughters Courtney and Kelsey Hett.
