◼ CORBIN JOHN GLEASON, 37, construction worker, died June 8 at his home in Houston, Texas.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at at the Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Newton.

He was born on Sept. 14, 1980, to Dana and Bonnie Frey Gleason in Newton. In March 2010, he was married to Julie Deeter. He moved to Texas in 2016 and was married to Christine Peets, who survives.

Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Gracie Sue, and her mother, Julie, of Newton; wife Christine of Houston; grandmother Mae Frey of Newton, and an aunt, Jenny Walker, of Ft. Collins, Colo.

A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.

◼ Lois Maxine Hiebert, 93, formerly of Wichit, passed away in Overland Park, Kan., on June 23, 2018. She was born on July 12, 1924 in Hillsboro, Kan., the daughter of Tillie (Reiswig) and Jake Herbel. She married Leroy W. Hiebert on Nov. 13, 1944, who preceded her in death, and Louis Latimer in 1994, who preceded her in death as well.

She is survived by children Cindy (Bruce) Hogle, Mike (Terri) Hiebert, Jean Hiebert (Coleen Davison), and Lon Hiebert, Diane (Scott) Post and Steve (Nancy) Latimer; 11 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother and daughter-in-law, Karen Chase.

A private burial service for family will be at the Lorraine Avenue Memorial Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at LAMC, 655 S. Lorraine St., Wichita, Kan., at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7. A light lunch will be served after the service.
