Deaths (6-13-18)

◼ W. DALE BANDY, 81, a retired accounting supervisor for NCRA and farmer, died June 3 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton. Interment was in the church cemetery. Friends called from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.

He was born Nov. 21, 1936, in McPherson to Willis A. “Bill” and Hazel May (Lively) Bandy. On Sept. 2, 1956, he was married to Joan M. Heim, who predeceased him March 16, 1988. He was married in 1991 to Marie (Koehn) Myers, who survives.

He also is survived by two sons, Douglas (Tammy) Bandy of Lecompton, and Michael Bandy, Overland Park; a daughter, Lori Phillips of Little Rick, Ark.; a stepson, Brett (Debbie) Myers of McPherson; a stepdaughter, Paula (Lowell) Ely of Inman; one sister, Judy (Gerald) Janzen, Mound­ridge; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the church or Hospice House of Reno County, in care of Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main St., P.O. Box 355, Canton KS 67428.
