◼ BRAD A. CARLSON, 55, son of Gary and Shirley (Walker) Carlson, was born Aug. 29, 1962, and lived his entire life in Marion.

Services were May 24, 2018, with Zeiner Funeral Home in charge.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley of Marion; his children, Jessi and husband Paul of Marion and Randy and wife Amy of Marion; his brother, Greg and wife Linda of Marion; sister Cindy and husband Charlie Reece of Hillsboro; brother Mitch and wife Suzi of Marion and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Brad Carlson’s name can be made to Eastmoor United Metho­dist Church.

◼ RHONDA M. HANNON, 43, died May 22, 2018. She was born July 1, 1974.

She is survived by her parents, James and Virginia Hannon; two sisters, Jen­nifer (Timothy) Hagwood and their five children, and sister Denise (Bo Thomp­son) Hannon and one son.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 29. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, both at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. In lieu of flowers send donations to Caring Hands. Baker Funeral Home Peabody Chapel has charge.

◼ HAROLD KLAASSEN, 83, a retired biology professor of 34 years at Kansas State University, died April 28 in Leonard­ville.

The memorial service was at 2 p.m. May 19 at First Baptist Church, Manhattan.

He was born April 18, 1935, in Hillsboro to Isaac and Anna Klaassen. In 1956, he was married to wife Esther, who survives. He also is survived by a daughter, Linda Klaassen, a son Richard (Melissa) and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Tabor College or First Baptist Church of Man­hattan. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502.

◼ ALFRED RUDOLPH WIEDERSTEIN, 94, died May 18, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. May 23 at Christ Lutheran Church in Shat­tuck, Okla., with pastor Gary McClellan officiating.

He was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Hillsboro to Leo and Martha Wiederstein. On Aug. 25, 1946, he was married to Linda Koch, who predeceased him.

He is survived by his three sons and their wives: Stephen and wife Shirley of Higgins, Texas; Rodney and wife Margaret of Shattuck; and Douglas and wife Jody of Higgins, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
