◼ Elva Plett, 93, formerly of Lehigh died on March 18, 2019, at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Rural Goessel.

Interment at 2:45 p.m. at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery rural Goessel.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

She was born January 6, 1926, to Benjamin and Anna (Penner) Schmidt in Goessel. She married Andrew Plett September 22, 1951, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Rural Goessel.

Survivors include daughters, Edith (Mike) Carr of Williamsburg, VA, Ethel (Rodney) Wedel of Newton, Susan (Thomas) Krehbiel of Goessel, Marcia (Karl) Plett-Brubaker of Goessel; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

◼ Karen Mae Fitzmaurice, 59, died on Monday, March 18, 2019.

A graveside service was held at 11a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Lincolnville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jim; son, TyroneVondal of North Dakota; brother, Randy Adams of Arkansas; sisters, Patricia Woolridge of Hillsboro and Rose Winn.

◼ Vernice ratzlaff, 81, died March 18, 2019, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro officiated by Pastor Brian Allen.

She was born September 20, 1937, to David and Helen (Kornelsen) Ratzlaff in Hillsboro.

Survivors include brothers, Marvin (Marilyn) Ratzlaff of Rural Hillsboro, Lowell Ratzlaff of Denver, Colorado; 11 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews.
