He was born Feb. 5, 1946, to Allen J. and Leona (Wiens) Funk at Hillsboro.
Survivors include sons Sam and wife Michele Funk of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chad Funk of Hillsboro; daughter Cassandra and husband Larry Loutzenhiser of Lyons; brothers Lester and wife Donna Funk of Marion and Ron Funk of Hillsboro; sisters Joyce and husband Lee Ediger of Moundridge and Jeanette and Dan Schaefer of Hillsboro and four grandchildren.

A graveside service was Oct. 3 at Marion Cemetery.
She was born March 23, 1929, to John and Ellen Edmunds at Marion. On May 7, 1950, she was married to Elmer John Ottens?meier, who predeceased her.
Survivors include daughter Cherri Jean Brandenberger of Newton; son Mark Alan and wife Lisa Ottensmeier of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Peace Valley Cemetery in rural Durham.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
She was born Sept. 29, 1928, to Alfred and Susie (Jantz) Redger at Tampa. Her husband, Leonard Unruh, predeceased her in 1987.
