A. Randal CLAASSEN, 63, died on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Parkview M.B. Church in Hillsboro.

Interment was at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Towanda cemetery in Towanda.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

He was born March 5, 1955 in Wichita to Louis and Dorothy (Chaney) Claassen. He married Janice Keller Jan. 2, 1977 in Wichita.

Survivors include: wife: Janice Claassen of Towanda; son, Peter Claassen of Towanda; daughters, Ashley (David) Enns of Towanda, Angie (Ben) Walker of Valley Center, Alysha (A.J.) Pierce of Salina, Jayme (Barry) McGhee of Denham Springs, LO, Katie Claassen of Towanda, Josie Claassen of Towanda; brother, Dan (Marjean) Claassen of Blue Ridge, Texas; sister, Candy (Mike) Snowbarger of Towanda; 15 grandchildren.

◼ Brennan Michael Fine, beloved son of Zan and Jessica Fine, was born at Wesley Medical Center at 6:32 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2019. He died after a short time with his loving family.

A private family graveside service was held on Sunday, Feb. 10 at Marion Cemetery with Pastr Don Mashburn officiating.

Brennan is survived by his parents, Marion; maternal grandparents Greg and Dina Vogel, Marion; paternal grandparents Rich and Vickie Fine, Marion.

◼ Marilyn Hageberg, 81, Burdick, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at the Legacy of Herington.

Funeral services were at 10 am on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the Burdick United Methodist Church.

A graveside service followed at the Methodist Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1937, to Ernest and Dola (Blankley) Meierhoff in Marion.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Roberts (Kenneth) of Topeka; 3 sons, Gene Hageberg (Shelli) of Center Point, TX, Daniel Hageberg (Darlene) and Mike Hageberg (Denice) of Burdick; sister, Carol Sue Dutton, of Manhattan; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

◼ Eldon a. harper, 53, Canton, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at the Canton Christian Church.

Interment was in the Canton Township Cemetery.

Friends called from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.

A memorial has been established with the Eldon Harper Memorial Fund, in care of the mortuary.

He was born August 9, 1965, in Garden City, the son of Eldon H. and Patricia (Bowler) Harper. On December 18, 1992, he married Carol Hauschild in McPherson and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Amber Harper, Ness City; brothers, Robert, Wichita, Ralph, Larned, Curt, Holdrege, Nebraska, Sidney, Canton and Ervin, Hutchinson; sisters, Jaquetta Million, South Dakota and Velvola Brown, Colby and one granddaughter.

◼ Ruth Ann Huxman, 84, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

The funeral service was at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the First Nazarene Church in Wichita.

Visitation was Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home with family present from 2-3:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to First Church of the Nazarene Foreign Mission and may be sent in care of Petersen Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1934 in Tulsa, OK to Loren Everett Neilson, Sr. and Ruby Irene Neilson (Easley). Ruth Ann was widowed when her first husband, William Robert Poe, passed away as a young man in Greensboro, NC. Ruth Ann and Marvin D. Huxman were married Oct. 26, 1957.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin D. Huxman; children, Billie Weeks, Wayne Huxman, Myron Huxman, Sally Thiesen, and Paul Huxman; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, Loren E. Neilson, Jr.

◼ Danniel King, 65, died on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

He was born Dec. 12, 1953, to Karl and Cecil (Fluke) Davidson in Clarinda, Iowa. He married Nancy Ronish Feb. 14, 1997, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Survivors include: wife, Nancy King, Peabody; sons, Nathan (Julie) Lelek of Portland, Oregon, Noah Lelek of Dallas Texas; daughters, Tiffany (Mike) Johnson of Wichita, Kemery Bartlett of Wichita, Hilary (Tyler) Whetstone of Overland Park; brother, Harley; sisters, Gene, Laree, Lala; 15 grandchildren.

◼ Bob Matz, 84, Marion, died on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.

A prayer service followed by a visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion, Kansas.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion, Kansas with Interment following at Marion Cemetery.

◼ Valera (Graham) Morgan, 94, Marion, died on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

The Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion.

◼ Tina unruh, 83, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.
