◼ Patricia Hein, 69, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.

Services will be held in early 2019 in Wichita.

Survived by her mother, Mary Helen Hein of Fresno, CA and sister, Holly Hein-Taylor (Scott), nephew Jake Taylor of Aptos, CA and niece Whitney Marie Hein-Unruh of Los Angeles, CA.

◼ Mary Jane Janzen, 98, died on November 6, 2018, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton.

The Funeral service was 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Koerner Heights Church of the Mennonite Brethren in Newton with Pastor Dave Froese and Eric Massanari presiding.

Burial preceded the memorial in the Greenwood Cemetery Newton.

Memorials are suggested to Koerner Heights Kitchen Fund in care of Petersen Funeral Home.

She was born June 4, 1920, to Dan B. and Anna (Schmidt) Schmidt at their rural Marion County Home. On Oct. 19, 1941, she married Edwin H. Janzen at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.

She is survived by her Daughters Bonita Schroeder of Burns, Carol Schrag of Newton, Kansas and Kay Self of Newton; sons Donnovan Janzen of Bessie, Oklahoma and John Janzen of Boise, Idaho. She has 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting her 14th great-grandson.

◼ Wilma Schmidt, 89, passed away November 17, 2018, at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. A celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at The Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

She was born March 9, 1929, in Goessel to Frank and Margaret (Hiebert) Woelk. She married Andy Schmidt August 12, 1948, in Hillsboro. Survivors include son Donovan Schmidt of McPherson; daughter, Lucretia (Bob) Vance of Hillsboro; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Online condolences at www.jost
