◼ Leland bartel, 75, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at West Chester Village in Lenexa.

A Celebration of Life Service 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Community Covenant Church at 15700 W. 87th Pkwy Lenexa, KS.

The family will receive guests from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the Church on Tuesday.

He was born on March 17, 1943, to Henry and Anna (Regier) Bartel at Hillsboro, Kansas. He married Carol Ewert June 14, 1963, at Johannestal Church rural Hillsboro.

◼ Barbara C. diaz, 60, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.

The family received guests from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Committal Service was at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery.

She was born June 4, 1958, in Wichita to Elmer and Juanita (Tracy) McCombs.

Survivors include son Mike (Amanda) McCombs of Lehigh; daughters, Stephanie (Edward) Newman of Valley Center, Jennifer Epstin (Danny West) of Newton; brother, Elmer McCombs Jr. of Lehigh; sisters, Nancy Gibson of Hillsboro, Christine McCombs of Wichita; 20 grandchildren.

◼ Theresa Klenda, 86, Pilsen, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen, Kansas.

The funeral Mass was held Monday, Oct. 29 at 10 am, also in Pilsen, followed by interment at Pilsen Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Fr. Kapaun Fund or Salem Home, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

She was born September 16, 1932, to Valentine & Emma (Schumer) Polok in Hope, Kansas.She married Leonard Klenda on Nov. 8, 1950.

She is survived by her brother John and his wife Pauline; her children, Dennis and wife Terry, Val and wife Julie, Vince, Monica and husband Tom Leihy, and Frances and husband Donald Mueller; 28 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

◼ ivan morgan, 92, Burns, died on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at Asbury Park nursing home in Newton, Kansas.

A Visitation was at the Christian Church of Florence in Florence, Kansas on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, from 5– 8 p.m.

Funeral Service was at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the Christian Church of Florence.

He was born in Council Grove, Kansas Oct. 3, 1926, to Herbert and Rosie Leeson Morgan. He married Anna “Margaret” Bishoff in August of 1947.

Ivan is survived by four sons, Micheal and wife Beverly, of Marion, Ks; Larry and wife Delores, of Hesston, Ks; Richard and wife Kris, of Moundridge, Ks; and Rodney and wife Robin, of Burns, Ks; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

◼ flora (Leola) Williams, 94, died on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

Committal Service 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Glasco Cemetery of Glasco.

She was born Sept. 29, 1924, at Rural Bush City, Kansas to Amzi and Flora (Henderson) Gull. She married Frank Williams Oct. 7, 1945, at Dalhart, Texas.

Survivors include son Richard L. (Vera) Williams of Rural Hillsboro; daughters, Marcia (Scott) Seaton of Benton, Pamela Baxter of Emporia; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
