? RAYMOND E. ABRAHAMS, 89, retired assistant postmaster in Hillsboro, died April 28 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

The service was May 5 at First Mennonite Church, 102 S. Ash St., Hillsboro, with pastor Susan Jantzen officiating.

He was born Sept. 27, 1925, to Cornelius and Anna (Dalke) Abrahams at Goessel. On Nov. 30, 1947, he was married to Sylvia Unruh, who survives.

Other survivors include sons Rex and wife DeVonne Abrahams of Canton and Kim and wife Carol Abrahams of rural Hills?boro; daughters Dawn Abrahams of Moundridge and Bev and husband Darold Klein of Ft. Collins, Colo.; brother Charles and wife Genny Abrahams of Hillsboro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

? MARION CUBBAGE, 86, employed 38 years with City Services (Occidental Petroleum) as an oil field worker, died May 3 at his home in Burns.

The service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 302 N Denver St, El Dorado.

Burial will be at Burns Catholic Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 6, 1928, to Charles and Emma (Stewart) Cubbage at Hugoton. His wife, Josette, predeceased him in 2012.

Survivors include children Frederic Cubbage of China, Pierre Cubbage of St. Louis, Mo., Patrick and wife Janice Cubbage of Overland Park and Michelle Cubbage of Burns; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and brother George Cubbage of Pratt.

? JIM DALKE, 68, retired truck mechanic at AMPI, died April 30 in Hillsboro.

The funeral is at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Hills?boro United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 905 East D. St., Hillsboro.

Burial also is Thursday at Haven of Rest cemetery, one mile east of Hillsboro with pastor Morita Truman officiating.

He was born July 15, 1946, to Abraham and Doris (Foster) Dalke at Hillsboro. On March 7, 1970, he was married to Susan Bliss, who predeceased him in 2003.

Survivors include son Ben and wife Holly Dalke of Hillsboro; daughter Adrianna and Craig Meder of Gardner; three grandchildren; brothers John and wife Delores of Hillsboro and Dan and wife Donna of rural Hillsboro; sisters Ruth and husband Larry Hamm of Hillsboro and Mary and Larry Allen near Oklahoma City, Okla.

? PAULA ELIZABETH (MUELLER) FIKE, 84, a homemaker and retired postmaster at Ramona, died May 2 at Medicalodges in Herington.

The service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona, with pastor Clark Davis officiating.

Burial will be at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona.

She was born April 5, 1931, to Henry Frederich Karl (HFK) and Mathilde Elise (nee Bielefeld) Mueller north of Tampa. On Dec. 28, 1949, she was married to Warren Fike, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Linda and husband Dan Peterson of Burdick, Sandra and husband Steve Deines of Pierce City, Mo., Carla and husband Stacey Collett of Marion, Glenda and husband Mike Jirak of Glade and Sara and Shane Hack Eells of Berryton; sons Gary and wife Karol of Westmoreland and Dennis and wife LouAnn of Albuquerque, N.M.; sister Doris and husband Richard Ott of Golden, Mo.,; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

? RUBY A. HOLUB, 86, died April 30 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

The funeral was May 5 at Holy Family Parish, St. John?s Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pilsen.

Burial was at the Pilsen Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 5, 1928, to Earl and Alma (Hotze) Thomas at Jetmore. On April 28, 1947, she was married to Ernest Holub, who predeceased her in 1999.

Survivors include sons Dan Holub of Marion, Terry Holub of Loogootee, Ind., Frank Holub of Niles Mich., Tim Holub of Cheney, Lin Holub of Galion, Ohio and Ben Holub of Newton; daughter Kathy Budd of Pine, Colo.; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

? LYNN PENNER, 85, retired USD 410 transportation/maintenance supervisor, died April 28 at Bethesda Home, Goessel.

The service was May 2 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastors Brian Allen and Clint Seibel officiating.

Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro.

He was born Feb. 26, 1930 to William and Biena (Ewert) Penner at Hillsboro. On Sept. 21, 1951, he was married to Biena (Ewert) Penner, who survives.

Other survivors include son, Gary and wife Terri Penner of rural Hillsboro; daughters Linda and husband Morris Ewert of rural Goessel and Diane and husband Kent Jost of Hesston; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

? RUDOLPH “RUDY” SCHROEDER, 87, died April 26 at Bethesda Nursing Home at Goessel. The service will be at a later date. Burial was at Alexander?wohl Cemetery, Goessel.

He was born Jan. 3, 1928, to John and Margoretha Unruh Schroeder at Goessel. On June 3, 1954, he was married to Eulalia Duerksen, who survives.

Other survivors include Larry and wife Nancy Schroeder of Inman, Roy Schroeder of Hillsboro and Ed Schroeder and three grandchildren.

? SHIRLEY ANN STROTKAMP, 79, retired business entrepreneur, died May 1.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Florence.

Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 at Baker Funeral Home, 114 N. Sycamore St., Peabody.

She was born Oct. 12, 1935, to Aloysius A. and Bertha E. (Weber) Strot?kamp. Frank C. Bowen was her companion for more than 50 years. Survivors include six nephews, two nieces and great nephews and great nieces.
