? DAVID A. FRANTZ, 71, a farmer of Ramona, died May 20 at Herington Municipal Hospital.

The funeral was May 30 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Tampa. Burial was at St. Mary?s Cemetery, Tampa.

He was born May 23, 1944, to Albert and Anna Ratzlaff Frantz at Goessel. On Oct. 2, 1965, he was married to Mary Ann Frick, who survives.

He also is survived by son Monte of Enid, Okla.; daughter Tondalayo and husband Daniel Schaller of Alexan?dria, Va.; brothers Daniel of Durham, Leonard of Hillsboro and Jonas of Tampa; sisters Esther Funk of Hillsboro and Edith Unruh of Enid and six grandchildren.

? WILLIAM E. “BILL” KEITH, 66, of Marion, and employed at Boeing in Wichita, died May 30 at the St. Luke Hospital emergency room in Marion.

The service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Marion Reservoir Cottonwood Point.

Burial is at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Marion Cemetery in Marion.

He was born Jan. 1, 1949, at Wichita. On Oct. 1, 1971, he was married to Charmaine A. Cremeen, who predeceased him.

Survivors include children Jess and wife Tammy Keith of Wichita, Fawn Keith of Wichita and Ida French of Marion; two grandchildren; brothers Larry Keith of Wichita; and Marvin Keith of Vinita, Okla.

? JUANITA FAYE McCOMBS, 76, died May 24 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

The service was May 29 at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

She was born Feb. 20, 1939, to Joseph and Lola (Rose) Tracy at Yates Center. On June 29, 1957, she was married to Elmer LeeRoy McCombs Sr., who predeceased her.

Survivors include son Elmer LeeRoy McCombs Jr. of Hillsboro; daughters Barbara Diaz of Lehigh, Nancy Gibson of Hillsboro, Christine Huffman of Wichita and Stephanie Newman of Valley Center; brother Frank Williams of Wichita; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

? JACOB LEROY OBLANDER, 93, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, died May 26 at Fairlawn, Ohio.

The service is June 3 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

He was born May 26, 1921, to Jacob George and Ellen (Morse) Oblander. His wife, Rosemary (Green) Oblander, predeceased him.

Survivors include daughter Susan and husband James McIntyre of Copley, Ohio; son James Oblander of Hidden Woods, Ohio; brother Durward and wife LaWanda Oblander of Newton; sister Carol and husband Jim Hett of Marion; sister Darlene and husband Jim Hiebert of St. Augustine, Fla.; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

? CORA G. SCHMIDT, 93, a seamstress and homemaker of Hesston, died May 25 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

The service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at Koerner Heights Church, Newton, with pastor Tim Mace officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at East?lawn Cemetery, Hesston.

She was born Sept. 9, 1921, to Peter A. and Agatha Schroeder Voth at Goessel. On Sept. 4, 1941, she was married to Eldon Schmidt, who predeceased her March 18, 2010.

Survivors include children Bryce Schmidt of Wichita, Gareth and wife Charlotte Schmidt of Goessel, Merrill and wife Sandy Schmidt of Newton, Colleen and Todd Gillespie of Asheville, N.C., and Bradford and Terrie Schmidt of Oceanside, Calif., sister Nada Voth of Walton; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, one great-great stepgrandchild.

? DORA E. THIESSEN, 96, died May 30 at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

Dora ThiessenA graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, at Hoffnungsau Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., also on Wednesday at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, Inman, with pastor Cleo Koop officiating.

She was born Feb. 10, 1919, to Peter and Helen Buller Abrahams in McPherson County. On May 26, 1940, she was married to Dan H. Thiessen, who predeceased her Nov. 8, 2006.

Survi?vors include children Lois and husband Ray A. Penner of North Newton and Vera and husband Richard Williams of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and extended family members Gary and Sharon Regehr.
