? GARY L. CALDWELL, 71, died Jan. 4 at Newton Medical Center.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 8 at First United Methodist Church, Newton, with pastor Doug Tofteland officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main St., Newton.

He was born July 22, 1943, to Guy and Helen (Patterson) Caldwell at Newton. On Oct. 3, 1969, he was married to Melva Adams, who survives.

Other survivors include son Rodd and wife Heather Caldwell of Normal, Ill.; daughter Alyson and husband Shane Voran of Lehigh; brother Darrell and wife Marty Caldwell of Manchaca, Texas; sisters Lavonne Prior of Neosho Rapids and Darlene and husband Peter Smokerowski of Shawnee and four granddaughters.

Memorials may be made to Medical Ministries International through Robert Roeser?s practice and Newton Medical Center ICU or Respiratory Therapy Departments and sent in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main St., Newton, KS 67114.

?KENT ANDERSON, 73, formerly of Tampa, an oilfield pumper, producer and owner/operator of Ander?son Oil Co., died Dec. 30 in rural Canton.

He was born Aug. 20, 1941, to Johnnie Maynard and Blanche Lucile (Ferris) Anderson at McPherson. On Sept. 2, 1961, he was married to Sharron M. Anderson and later on Nov. 6, 1982, was married to Cindy L. Wieder?stein, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Marsha and husband Shawn Heinly of Little River, Susan Anderson (John Gagnebin) and Kendra Anderson (Shoncia Ball), all of Galva; sons Shannon Meier of Canton and Thayne Meier of Lehigh; brother Ronald Lee (Arlene) Ander?son (Arlene) of McPherson and seven grandchildren.

The funeral was Jan. 3 at First United Methodist Church, McPher?son.

Burial was at McPher?son Cemetery.
