? JAMES C. “JIM” HARRIS, 68, an over-the-road truck driver of Florence, died Jan. 20 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
The service was Jan. 23, at Holy Family Parish, St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Florence. Rosary preceded mass with Father Darrin May officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
He was born Jan. 6, 1947, to William E. and Iva May (Nelson) Harris at Stillwater, Okla. On Jan. 23, 1970, he was married to Theresa Modesto, who survives.
Other survivors include children Craig and wife Beth Harris of Stillwater, Tamie and husband Steve Miller of Perry, Okla., Justin Garr and Scott Wiltse of Strong City, William and wife Jessica Harris of Florence, Edward and wife Chalsea Harris of Pine Top, Ariz., Richard and Jamie Harris of Wichita and Patricia Harris and Daniel Kinchen of Port Arthur, Texas; siblings: Rosemary Ritter of Marion, William D. Harris of Pawhuska, Okla., Robert Harris of Salina, Virgil Harris of Killeen, Texas, Juanita Kearns and Jeanita Hover both of Stillwater.

?GEORGE PESTER, 83, a bookkeeper at Sacred Heart, died Jan. 11 at Presbyterian Manor, Emporia.
A memorial service was Jan. 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. He was cremated. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
He was born July 20, 1931, to Joe and Ella Sue (Harms) Pester at Hillsboro. On Nov. 3, 1962, he was married to Virginia R. Hohne, who survives.
Other survivors include son Scott Pester; daughter Angela and Lonie Brock and four grandchildren.
