? JONATHAN CHARLES J.C. EHRLICH, 91, a farmer and stockman of Marion, died Jan. 16 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

A private family service will be at Marion Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21.

He was born March 29, 1923, to Jonathan C. and Lena (Vogel) Ehrlich. On Sept. 4, 1954, he was married to Florence R. Hefley, who predeceased him.

Survivors include children Darryl and wife Sylvia of Marion, Janet Priddy and husband Alan of Ramstein, Germany Air Force Base, and Carol Stevens and husband Bill of Wamego; three grandchildren; siblings Harold and wife Fern of Ocala, Fla., and Nettie Daily of Wichita.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke Living Center and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861, in charge of arrangements.

? RUSSELL L. GEIS, 67, retired motorcycle mechanic of Peabody, died Jan. 13 at Peabody Care Center.

A private graveside service will be at a later date.

He was born June 24, 1947, to LaMar and Yunietta (Russell) Geis at McPherson.

Survivors include his mother of Hillsboro; son Richard Geis of Tacoma, Wash.; sister Aleta Sue and husband Kenneth Ashlock of Canton; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the McPherson County Humane Society and sent in care of Olson?s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428, in charge of arrangements.

? DALE RAY HASENBANK, 64, of Marion, and formerly of St. George, a farmer and truck driver, died Jan. 10 at his home.

The service was Jan. 17 at Campanella-Evans Mortuary at Wamego with pastor Rick Hernandez officiating.

Burial was at St. George Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 27, 1950, to Cleo Carl and Velma Lorraine Rowe Hasenbank at Manhattan. In June 1975 he was married, and later divorced from June Flory.

Survivors include children, Kallie Ely, Kirsten Hasenbank and Desiree Hasenbank, all of Pendleton, Ore., Virginia Valyer of Wellington, Jerrod Hasenbank of Pendleton and Anthony Helzer of Newton; sister Cleola and husband Louis Ward of Westmoreland; brothers Larry and wife Sandy Hasenbank of Scranton, Lyle and Geraldine Hasenbank of McFarland, Gary and wife Betty Hasenbank of Goessel, Donald and wife Diana Hasenbank of Tampa and Ricki and Becky Hasenbank of Manhattan; sisters-in-law Anna Lu Hasenbank of St. George, and Iva Hasenbank of Adams, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

?FERN MARIE HEIN, 94, died Jan. 16 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

The service was Jan. 19 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

She was born Dec. 31, 1920, to William and Mary (Craney) Rollings at Peabody.

Survivors include sons Bill and wife Janet of rural Hillsboro, Don and wife Jean of McPherson, James and wife Sharon of Great Bend; daughter Sharon and husband Pete Unruh of rural Newton; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

?WALTER KLEINSASSER, 92, of Hillsboro, died Jan. 15 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

The service was Jan. 23 at Parkview Church in Hillsboro.

He was born Nov. 9, 1922, to John and Katharina (Glanzer) Kleinsasser at Carpenter, S.D.

Survivors include son Joe and wife Michelle of Hillsboro; daughter Faith and husband Ron Klaassen of Newark, N.J.; two grandchildren; brother Harold of Reedley, Calif.; sister Edna Espenson of Windom, Minn.

? VIRGINIA L. SHIELDS, 93, of Lincolnville, died Jan. 8 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

The funeral was Jan. 16, at St. John?s Lutheran Church at Lincolnville.

She was born Oct. 5, 1921, to Alexander and Leah Ethel (Riffel) Brunner at Ramona. On April 23, 1944, she was married to Fred M. Shields, who predeceased her June 9, 2004.

Survivors include sons Glenn and wife Marcia Shields of Lost Springs and Kenneth Shields of Lincolnville; daughter-in-law Kim Shields of Lincolnville; sister Betty Dyck of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

? LEROY E. SCHNEIDER, 86, a mill operator and Circle E Feedlot employee, died Jan. 12 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado.

The service was Jan. 15 at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. He was cremated.

He was born April 30, 1928, the son of George and Mary (Helmer) Schneider at Durham. On Jan. 2, 1948, he was married to Marilyn R. Ohlsen, who survives.

Other survivors include children Gordon and wife Cheryl Schneider, Denise and husband Brian Vogt of El Dorado and Greg Schneider of Benton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sister, Wanda Miller of El Dorado.
