? DONALD NILES DEPLER, 89, died Aug. 14 at his home in Peabody.

The service is at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at Christian Church, Division and Sycamore, Peabody, with pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.

Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Peabody.

He was born Dec. 15, 1925, to Earnest Floyd and Dora Mae (Logan) Depler at Newton. On Nov. 30, 1946, he was married to Wavo Marie Depler, who predeceased him.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and sent in care of Baker?s Funeral Home, 114 Sycamore St., Peabody, KS 66866, also in charge of arrangements.

? ROSE FLAMING, 93, of Goessel, died Aug. 10.

A graveside service was Aug. 15 at the Claney Cemetery south of Marion.

The memorial service was Aug. 16 at Koerner Heights Church in Newton.

She was born Oct. 27, 1921, to Birkholtz and Eva Goertz Guhr. On Dec. 29, 1941, she was married to Dick Flaming, who predeceased her.

She is survived by sons Jerry and Carolyn of Rockford, Ill., and Mel and Marilyn and Del and Margaret, all of Peabody, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister Edna Stucky, and brothers Adolf and Otto Guhr and nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Bethesda Home of Goessel or the Hearing Impaired Fund of Koerner Heights Church and sent in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114, in charge of arrangements.

? KATHRYN HEINRICHS, 94, died Aug. 14 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

The service is at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe, Hillsboro.

She was born Sept. 11, 1920, to Albert and Helena (Unger) Schroeder at Hillsboro. Her husband, Allan Heinrichs, predeceased her in 1997.

Survivors include son Dennis and wife Ruth Heinrichs of Great Bend; daughter Kristin Black of Denver, Colo.; brother John Laverne Schroeder of Atoka, Tenn.; sister Geraldine Tinsley of Hesston; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
