? BERNICE SCHICK BROADSTREET, 97, retired co-owner of a photography studio in Wichita, died July 31 at St. Luke?s Living Center in Marion. The service was Aug. 7 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

She was born Sept. 12, 1917, to David and Ella Jan?zen Schick at Lincoln?ville. On Oct. 22, 1938, she was married to Leslie R. Broad?street, who survives.

Other survivors include sons Gallen Broadstreet and Rand and wife Taff Broad?street; two grandsons; two granddaughters and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke Living Center in Marion and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.

? AMANDA KLASSEN LOEWENS, 95, a retired teacher and denominational secretary, died July 22 at Schowalter Villa in Hess?ton.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Hesston Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 W. Randall St., Hesston.

She was born to Abraham and Justina Wiebe Klassen on Jan. 23, 1920. On June 2, 1944, she was married to Lavern Loewens, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Marabeth and Allen Busenitz of West Lafayetta, Ind., and Rose?mary and Richard Prieb of Hesston; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 107 S. Lancaster, Hesston, is in charge of arrangements.

? FAITH E. MEYER, 94, a retired music teacher, died July 11 at Abilene.

The service was July 16 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church with pastor Shane Britt officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, southwest of Carlton.

She was born July 27, 1920, to George F. and Vesta V. (Sexton) McBoyle in the Bonaccord community southwest of Abilene. On Nov. 9, 1947, she was married to Virgil M. Meyer, who predeceased her in 2010.

Survivors include daughter Mona and husband Dale Koop of Abilene and four grandchildren.

? ARTHUR (WAYNE) POPE, 94, retired soil conservationist, died July 27 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Fall, S.D.

The service will be from 3-6 p.m. Sept. 5 at Prairie Winds Golf Course in Watertown, S.D.

He was born Feb. 27, 1921, to Reuben and Enid Pope at Little River. On March 11, 1945, he was married to Doris (Donna) Bratton, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Mary and husband James Labesky of Sioux Falls; son Jim Pope of Greenville, Texas; brother Randall and wife Kathy Pope of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; sister Vivian Mueller of Hillsboro; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Congregational Church of Watertown, S.D., or Avera Home Hospice and sent in care of Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, S.D. 57104, also in charge of arrangements.

? CORA B. SORENSON, 60, a paraprofessional at Lin?coln Elementary School in McPherson, died Aug. 4 at her home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at New Hope Evangelical Church, 501 Wickersham Drive, McPherson, with pastors Jim Keil and Ken Schultz officiating. A graveside service was Aug. 5 at McPherson Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 11, 1954, to Leonard Franklin and Rosalie W. (Friesen) Klassen at Marion. On June 8, 1974, she was married to Donald D. Sorenson, who survives.

Other survivors include children Kami and Eric Van?Campen, Kelly and Annie Sorenson and Keaton Soren?son, all of McPherson, and Kelsie and Eric Jusko of Hays; sister Vickie and Marv Fisher of Wichita and five grandchildren.
