Rudolph Gene Newfield, 87, died Sunday,
Dec. 29, 2019, at the Robert J. Dole V.A. Medical Center in Wichita, Ks. Cremation has been effected.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at the Peabody Christian Church.
A memorial has been established with the Peabody Christian Church and the Peabody American Legion Avenue of Flags.

He was born on September 14, 1932, in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Peter Buller and Marie Nora Foth Newfield. Rudy married Jean Eva Schroeder on June 7, 1957, at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church of rural Whitewater, Ks.
Survivors include his wife Jean of the home in Peabody; son Eugene Newfield and wife Tammy of Peabody, daughter Cynthia Easterberg and husband Jesse of Peabody, son Timothy Newfield of Walton, son Anthony Newfield and wife Jolene of Newton; son-in-law Bill Smith of Newton; sister Lucille Wolfe of Salina; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
