Phyllis Hein Landis, 79, died on Nov. 30, 2021, at her home in rural Marion Kansas after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rosary will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Holy Family Parish at St Mark Catholic Church in Marion, followed by a graveside service at Marion Cemetery.
Friends and family will gather at Holy Family Church Hall immediately following the graveside service for a light luncheon and time of remembrance.
Phyllis and her twin brother were born to William and Catherine Hein on Sept. 23, 1942, at their grandparent’s farm east of Marion. In 1961, Phyllis married Edward Baliel.
She is survived by her husband Claude Landis of Marion; twin brother: Richard (Phyllis) Hein of Marion, and brother: Walter (Judy) Hein, of Marion; sisters: Laura Wayman of Hutchinson, Catherine (Bernard Toso) Camien of Emporia, and Linda (Darryl) Brewer of Marion; sons: David (Karen) Baliel of Marion, and Mark Baliel of Newton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with countless more relatives and friends.
