TC choir plans spring tour

The Tabor College Concert Choir, under the direction of Bradley Vogel, associate professor of choral music, will travel to western Kansas and Nebraska for their annual spring tour March 18 to 25.

This year's choir tour theme, “But We See Jesus,” is based on Hebrews 2:9 and celebrates Jesus’ superiority to all things.

“If the audience can enter into the flow of the text, it will be a worship experience through the medium of choral music,” said Vogel.

Performing a wide-range of sacred literature, the choir will sing a selection of Renaissance motets, Gregorian chants, ancient hymn arrangements, 20th-century contemporary works and spirituals.

Holly Swartzendruber, assistant professor of voice at Tabor College, Elise Hiebert, Hillsboro, and Jarod Richardson, Imperial, Neb., are the featured soloists.

The tour will end with a home concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 13. The location will be announced at a later date.
