Accidents

At 7:55 a.m. March 1, Kami D. Froese, 37, Canton, was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar van eastbound on 120th with passengers Kellen Froese, 9 and Layci Froese, 6.The driver lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway and it entered the north ditch and wheat field. Undersheriff Randall Brazil responded to the accident.

At 11:15 p.m. March 5, William T. Edmunds Jr., 49, Marion, was northbound on US 77 in a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina when a deer came from the west ditch and hit the front and left side of the vehicle. Deputy Duane McCarty responded to the accident.

Offenses

Sometime between Nov. 1, 2006 and March 3, suspect(s) drove off the roadway and through a five-wire barbed wire fence. Tire tracks and a piece of fiberglass left at the scene appear to be from a semi-truck and trailer. The vehicle broke three fence posts and pulled loose about ¼ mile of five-wire fence. It has now been determined that the piece of fiberglass came off of a 1998 Mack Truck.

Sometime between Feb. 5 and March 5, suspects removed four radiators from a vehicle belonging to Robert Robinson, Lincolnville.

Sometime between Feb. 26 and March 5, suspect(s) used several rocks to break the windows out of a 1978 Gleaner M combine belonging to Herbert Bartel, Hillsboro.

Accidents

At 10 p.m. March 6, Michael C. Brendemuehl, 22, Westerville, Ohio, driving a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta, was backing out of a parking space on the east side of Madison and struck a 2006 Ford Fusion, driven by Keith Harder, 60, Hillsboro, northbound on Madison south of B Street. Officer David Funk investigated.

March 4: Animal welfare concern in the 100 block of North Madison. Suspicious person at Ash and D streets. Dog complaint in the 200 block of South Washington. Protection-from-abuse complaint in the 400 block of South Ash.

March 5: Served civil process. Checked a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of South Ash. Assisted emergency medical services in the 300 block of North Main. Assisted Peabody Police Department. Commercial alarm in the 500 block of East Grand.

March 6: Assisted court services officer. Dog complaint in the 400 block of South Cedar. Property dispute in the 300 block of North Lincoln. Served civil process. Report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of East D Street. Welfare concern referencing substance abuse.

March 7: Assisted Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Dog complaint in the 400 block of South Jefferson. Disturbance complaint in the 200 block of North Madison.

March 8: Suspended driver complaint. Assisted Social and Rehabilitative Services with an investigation. Dog complaint in the 200 block of East Grand. Dog complaint in the 100 block of South Date. Delayed domestic disturbance report. Assisted sheriff with suspicious activity.

March 9: Traffic complaint on East D Street. Theft report in the 500 block of North Wilson. Unauthorized vehicle complaint. Fingerprint subject for employment purposes. Landlord-tenant dispute.

March 10: Dog complaint in the 400 block of South Jefferson. Missing child report; child was located. Assisted sheriff with a traffic accident. Damage complaint in the 400 block of South Jefferson; civil matter.

March 11: Report of a gas in the 300 block of Second Street. Dog complaint.
