Donald Ewert holds a cantalope that weighed in at 14.3 pounds. Ewert harvested the large melon from his cantalope patch located northwest of Durham. He said he has been planting cantalopes for about 10 years, and this one is the biggest he?s ever grown?or seen, for that matter.
