National commander visits Hillsboro American Legion

AmLegNatlCommander413.jpg About 30 people turned out late Monday afternoon to hear National American Legion Commander Clarence Hill (foreground) during a brief visit to Hillsboro American Legion Post 366. His stop was one of 27 made at Legion posts across Kansas. In addition to Hillsboro members, Legion Posts in Marion, Florence, and Tampa also were represented. Hill talked about organizational and health-care issues. He also encouraged local posts to get involved in ?social networking? with such things as Web sites, blogging, Facebook and other forums in an effort to get the word out to younger veterans about the benefits of being part of the American Legion. Mayor Delores Dalke presented Hill with some local gifts after his presentation.
